I'd love to know exactly how long it took the ball to cross the line from kick off. It could beat Long's effort for quickest goal in a half (obviously not in a match).

Keeping an eye on the Fulham v Bompey game, primarily to see how Fabio Carvalho plays.
19 years old, has rejected a new contract offer with his current deal ending next summer. Attacking midfielder who scored a decent goal at St Mary’s, on debut last season.
Said to be highly regarded. Just wondering if he might be in our sights and, given us playing youngsters like Tino and Broja, if we could nip in ahead of “bigger” clubs.
He’s been linked with us and an article I saw suggested he was impressed by Tino’s progression with us

I wasn’t aware of that.
As it happens he didn’t have a great game. A couple of good moments, showed a willingness to run beyond the striker, but missed the best opportunity Fulham had in the first half, when he hit the ball straight at a defender who was already prone on the ground, when lifting it over him into the opposite corner (he had time), would have been a goal.
Subbed on 70 minutes.

Sounds exactly like our kind of player!

TIES TO BE PLAYED BETWEEN FRIDAY 7 January 2022 & MONDAY 10 January 2022

I don’t know what it is but I expect us to draw a premier league side

probably because we could really do with a game that we can give players like Small a go in .

Away games I'd really like in the 3rd round:

Yeovil
Cambridge
Bristol Rovers
Wimbledon
Leyton Orient
Swindon
Boreham Wood/St Albans City
Kidderminster
Bournemouth

Failing that a nice home tie against a lower league side.
