Klopp on Jarrod Bowen:
"I like him a lot. He made his way up from Hull and he showed the Premier League what kind of player he is. I like him a lot."

Despite Reading facing an imminent nine point deduction for spending too much coin, they've just signed Andy Carroll.
Edit - It seems it's only a two month deal, which is a bit odd, he won't even be fit by the time it runs out.
that is a very very strange one, is he still a Newcastle player?
No, he's a Reading player.
was he a Newcastle player before signing for reading……….
Released in the summer.

Reading must be barking.

I remember Andy Carroll playing at the KC when he was a teenager on loan at Preston. He was absolutely dogshit, a sub-Robbie Turneresque performance, and got subbed off at half time when on the verge of seeing a red card. It never failed to amaze me that he went on to play for England.
Andy Carroll is very Tom Eavesesque, and not just because of the man bun. They both have a very awkward, clumsy gait about them. You look at both and think 'typical centre-forward' but you watch them play and it's just apparent they lack good technical skills like ball control and awareness.
Perhaps also shows how Eaves was so prolific at Gilingham and isn't an inherently bad player - just needs to be in a set up that plays to his strengths.
I don't think he's inherently a bad player. I've unfairly slated him before but I think my criticism of his technical skills is fair. That being said, Wilks has an arguably worse first touch and still gets in the team. If the rumours about our next manager are true, I hope as a former striker he coaches our forwards better than McCann has.
