Unlike Farke, Smith being sacked is of zero surprise to me.

Five defeats at any stage of the season isn't good, particularly given the money they spent. But doing so immediately leading into an international break was a total killer. Such a run could not have been timed any worse for Smith.

I guess because it seems like the newcastle attempts to appoint a new manager are appearing to be a bit of a shambles
