bit like Newcastle. Eddie Howe has 2 weeks but, with Matt Ritchie and Callum Wilson who he knows very well who knows?
Watched the BHA v NEW game. Conclusion, T...beard is a lazy T...beard. NEW are carp. Shelvey is the sought of Bast..d I wish Saints had somtimes, John McGraf springs to mind! For those who dont remember. He was kept in a cage under the Milton end and fed raw meat in the week. 3 days before the match they gave him just Bread and Water.....Match day..... Let Him OUT! Its true believe me. (The Dell 67/68)
Remember him fondly. Used to get iron filings to sprinkle on his raw meat on Sundays as a treat if he’d crocked anyone in the game.

Be interesting to see who comes in. Presumably they have somebody lined up so should find out in next couple of days.

Be interesting to see how Farke gets on at next club. Won't be short of offers in championship imo.

A bit like Spurs making their move before the Utd job becomes available, Norwich are making their move before the Watford job becomes available.

I read on one of the Saints forums something about the next manager definitely picking Gilmour. So that’s a certainty then

Unlike Farke, Smith being sacked is of zero surprise to me.

Five defeats at any stage of the season isn't good, particularly given the money they spent. But doing so immediately leading into an international break was a total killer. Such a run could not have been timed any worse for Smith.

It would be brilliant if Eddie gets cold feet at the last minute, and decides that Birmingham suits him more than Newcastle. After all, he did turn down Celtic late in the day, with the distance from home apparently being a factor.
