Trouble is Twitter are just as dodgy as ****erburg. I'm getting quite a few reminders and hello's on Signal today.
Whatever the problem is at FB, it seems significant. Staff ID badges to access / open rooms are not working, fire escapes open for accesss lol
Don't shoot the messenger, as it's just what I read, and I'm clueless on this sort of ****, but apparently the issue was a routine upgrade that didn't quite go as planned. Seemingly this isn't a rare event in itself, but the staff were working from home, and didn't have access to the buttons that let them revert back to the old version while the error was resolved, so they had to get back to the office, but couldn't get in because access is controlled through the same system that was down.
It cost Zuckerberg $7 billion.
Basically, they locked themselves out leaving the keys inside.

No that I don't believe you but does Zukerberg earn $7 billion every six hours!?!?!?!
I wouldn't believe me either, over half the lies I tell aren't true.
It was the drop in their share value, rather than what Zuckerberg earns, but it was as much down to that whistle blower as the outage.
First time he's ever listened to the commentary (20 years ago today)...
