As has been mentioned the weather forecast is awful tomorrow afternoon.

Do we pick a different team, for playing in heavy rain and high winds. Not a tippy tappy type of game?

Also any chance the game called off? Anybody intending to make the trek needs to know.

Get an early goal and their crowd will become toxic towards them. Get at them from the whistle and get that goal. Then frustrate them. Get some more goals and then just laugh at them.
I expect to win and my only fear is how will our very young team react at this sh*thole. If we handle it I will go for a mere 0-4.

Great write up again RTB.

Just seen a lad over on RTG has posted that M27 is closed all weekend between Junctions 9-11 which apparently means there is no easy work around and he recommends going on A3. When I've been to Pompey I've gone by train so I don't know the roads well down that neck of the woods personally but hopefully it will save those travelling a bit of grief. Safe there and home all of you.
If you are driving - look out for this...

'Yellow' weather warning apparently for down there tomorrow. 40-50mph winds as well as the rain. Take care everyone making the trip. And make sure you don't run out of fuel and get stuck there for God's sake.

There's no fuel in my area of the Cotswolds, everything is closed, even the likes of Tesco.

I have enough fuel to get there and half the way back, I should be able to pick up some fuel on the way down as I'm taking the 'scenic route'.

If all else fails I'll 'break down' when the gauge is under a quarter and the AA can bring me home.

I had two years missing games with Covid so balls to missing more through the aftermath and Brexit.

Fingers crossed you get sorted on the scenic route and get back ok. :emoticon-0148-yes:

No fuel in Berkshire either - even at Motorway services

We've had none since last Saturday. I used a bit driving to Cheltenham and back, on Tuesday, when I went on the coach to Sunderland.

So I'll take a flyer tomorrow and hope I can get some before the Gillingham game.

No probs with fuel in the places I have been to in Sunderland.

I was clocking the motorway services, from Sunderland to Cheltenham and it only started to get serious from Woodhall, Tibshelf and Trowell.

They were flashing 'no diesel' but after Leicester Forest they were flashing 'no fuel'.

As we got back to Cheltenham around 3.30am I thought I might pick some up but the card payment services were in darkness.

My van is diesel so I'm tempted to take some of our 'farm diesel' in cans tomorrow ...

... it's a big fine but we could go 6 points clear of 3rd place so f**k it <party>

Alternatively it could be called off due to the weather!
