Great thread RTB as always. Difficult game against a side that will try and make it difficult for us using the usual ****house tactics. Got to keep our heads in what I expect to be a volatile atmosphere. Wouldn’t be disappointed with a point but fancy we might just sneak all 3.
Great game to play in with a screaming crowd. You could be right about 09, but then again he is very good at winding the opposition player up and getting a reaction from them...
Just a thought for those travelling I see our Eco Warrior friends are still at it blocking roads, hope all routes to Portsmouth are kept clear. Safe journey one and all.
Regardless of form this is going to be a tough one. Feel like they could be a bit of a wounded animal so we need to be on top of our game and not get drawn into a ****housing contest. Heart says away win head says draw. be happy with either imo
Anyone without a ticket who fancies going, there is a lad on the Sunderland fans group on Facebook who has two spare after a couple of his mates have had to drop out. He is asking for £40 the pair and would meet down there.
people saying the cheltenham result was 'a statement of intent' imagine what a win down pompey would be...after our start i doubt many would grumble with a draw, a loss would be hard to take but a win would be a remendous boost as this is one of the 'biggies' of the season. not seen owt of them so far this season so no idea if the cowleys have made an attempt to curb the sh1thousery and try to get them playing football, if so it could be perfect for luke to play his usual game and wind them up, see just how 'well drilled' they are, think evans needs to start as well as he just knows where to be and does not seem to get wound up, not sure if dajaku is ready to go for a full 90 but he is an excellent one to bring on mid second half, other than that it really depends if broadhead will be risked/is fit but we know we have lads to come in that can be trusted.
The ending gave me a good chortle whilst browsing through another excellent match thread and lots of good comments. West Wittering is a lovely spot, outside Portsmouth. But not when its blowing a hoolie and pissing it down. Good luck to all the brave travellers, and I trust you all go home with a big ****ing smile on your face after another solid win. .
Sticking with the usual 4-1 to the lads Obviously it will be a tough game but if we can keep it tight and not let them get a head of steam up. I think we have enough to win and win comfortably Hoping to see us taking more of our chances. That will come with wins and confidence.
Cracking thread yet again RTB won't be around a lot as in my house in Kenya so best of luck to the lads and supporters will try a few posts with my phone like now. Enjoyed all the contributions keep it up guys catch you guys soon I hope
Just seen a lad over on RTG has posted that M27 is closed all weekend between Junctions 9-11 which apparently means there is no easy work around and he recommends going on A3. When I've been to Pompey I've gone by train so I don't know the roads well down that neck of the woods personally but hopefully it will save those travelling a bit of grief. Safe there and home all of you.
Going for a tight game purely because Cowley can’t afford to keep losing, 2-1 to the lads, I think we have too much going forward for this league now.
The A3 is the way to go from London as it is direct to Portsmouth. it is dual carriageway majority of the way and wider in some parts. The A3 junction on the M25 is just after the junction for the M3. check southwest rail times to Pompey from Waterloo in advance as services were massively disrupted yesterday. good luck
Thanks mate, I’m not going myself tomorrow unfortunately as I’m house hunting but that's good advice for those who are.
