Agree with a lot of this, Romeu was poor today but no manager would leave him out after his performance against City....but I'm more disappointed with JWP, I know it won't be a popular view on here but I think he is overrated and not a big enough leader on the pitch to be captain, he clearly demonstrates that he can strike a ball but not in the run of play. We miss a strong bustling forward thinking midfielder, unfortunately S Armstrong is our only player who fits that bill.

Agreed, JWP was pretty awful today.

When's Armstrong back? We're clearly gonna struggle for goals without him.

I agree, though unfortunately you have proved the point a bit - we don't have a goalscorer :)
Yet. Let's see, a few tweaks and a bit more confidence, can be the difference, and, I think, will be. I'd rather a stuttering start and a decent finish to the season than last year's trend!

So if you're Ralph, what do you do?

Adams and Armstrong aren't quite firing. But do you persist with them to try and play (at least one of them) into form? Do you change Adams for Broja, or Armstrong for Tella. Or both?

I'm sorry but two CBs have to deal with a long punt from the GK to a lone striker it was really poor from Bedders particularly.

I was at the match and it looked to me like the Wolves player tugged back our defender and scored from that. Maybe I imagined that but I was expecting the ref to blow for foul in our favour

KWP can't cross with his left foot which wolves knew and invited him to go outside while waiting for him to cut inside where they smothered it.

He is wasted at LB. He has to play RB and then find a spot for Tino at right midfiled.

We are not good enough to afford to play our best players out of position
100% So so obvious :emoticon-0148-yes:

How did Broja do when he came on?

Quite a funny moment when him and Djenepo came on. Some guy behind me was moaning about the "Cheating foreigners" (Wolves) and literally just before they came on he was saying it was crap that Wolves are cheating and all these bloody foreigners of theirs. As Broja & Djenepo came on I said very loudly "I hope our cheating foreigners are better" to a small round of applause from those around me :)

50/50. He sort of did at the start of the tussle, and then Beddy sort of did mid way through. Essentially he just outmuscled him though.

Firstly, for different reasons we're without our two most influential attacking players from last season. Thankfully, we'll have one back soon. Secondly, we look much more solid at the back. And thirdly, this was the only game this season where I was unhappy with what I saw throughout the game. I'd say things look better than last season.
I don’t think he’ll be back anytime soon. We’ll be lucky if he’s playing (starting) before end Oct.

Positives.
Drive down to southampton was a lot nicer then yesterdays train.
Ralph made positive subs before the 80th min bringing on Djenepo and Broja. With plenty of time to change the game.
KWP is on the pitch.
Negatives.
KWP is a talented player and will perform well at left back if we have an injury/red card but plays well below his best in this position making him ineffective.
Ely- appears to be running through treacle a lot of the time which limits any chance of a through ball on that side.
Ref - if players do not get punished for time wasting they will time waste. Did not cut down on it at all.
