Deserved. Much improved second half. Subs made a real difference. Harris did very well. Could easily have scored the 3rd before Bale. Nearly chucked it though. Needed a good Ward save before we went 3.2 up. Ramsey, Wilson and others back for Estonia.
Poor display. Poor opposition who should have had the game wrapped up before we equalised. Defence was awful. Harris played well. 3 points we move on. It will probably come down to the away game v Czech Republic. If Jonny Williams looked good you know its a poor quality game.
Blimey Hilts. I must have been watching through rose tinted glasses. I thought we did remarkably well.
3 points with a weakened team thats all that matters. Our keeper makes a good save close to the end ironically after Jonny Williams fecking up then we score with a shot their keeper should be saving. Soft 2nd penalty a poor side failed to finish us off. But we won thats all that matters. Estonia should be easy then we have to hope everyone is fit in the final games.
Well I guess there's no denying individual incidents that occred in what to me was a game in which we dominated possession and played most of the game in the opposition half. Other individual incidents could include the save their keeper made from Johnson and how we could easily have had a third penalty. I must be honest and say that I never once thought we would lose the game. Yes, it's all about the win with a depleted team, but let's recognise how well they did.
We got the points but it wasn't pretty. The pitch was like sponge and so slow - we didn't adapt. Ping pong passing doesn't work on that surface and we were caught out far too often. It will be a very different surface on Wednesday and I expect the football to reflect that. As far as today is concerned, Lawrence in defence was slower than the pitch, Gunter was even slower always turning back inside for support. Ben Davies looked well off the pace and made some bad decisions that you wouldn't expect him to make. Colwill had a nightmare up front and I was glad for the lad to see him taken off. Johnson was by far the better player of the two up there. Despite the opinions about Jonny Williams, both he and Mark Harris made all the difference going forward. Allen and Morrell battled all game and baled out the defence more than once. On Wednesday I'd like to see Neco Wiilliams and Ampadu replace Gunter and Lawrence, and Moore is an obvious inclusion instead of Colwill. Wilson will probably get the nod over Johnson and that should be more than enough to see off Estonia.
I think Williams is injured. All ive read is Kiefer was ruled out for 10 days as hes a close contact and is out for all 3 games. Tyler Roberts I would have thought will get the nod. Please no false 9 sh!t though.
Wales looked neat and tidy without a cutting edge. Johnson looked decent. Allen still pulling the strings but his legs have gone. Colwill looks a decent player but looks a boy in a mans body. Slow to get moving. Some work in the gym and on the track needed. Williams beard is better than Gunnars. Good result given the players missing.
