My only worry is to be careful what you wish for. We need investment, but Gao at least isn't asset stripping us.

If, in spite of all the tv money, the club can only compete in the PL with investment from the owners, then it rather looks to this ignorant individual, as though the whole thing is ****ed.

As Martin Semmens says on the TSP Podcast this week, anything which is reported in the press and media isn’t happening.
The lack of news isn't concerning TBH. Saints do all their business behind closed doors. The first we'll know about a takeover is when it's virtually completed.
All the Daily Echo does is sit on Twitter and splurge out any old **** based on any of the most random, obscure rumours they can find.

1. A multi billionaire Government fund from some dodgy country as per Newcastle.
2. A multi billionaire dodgy individual like Man City
3. A billionaire who wants us as a play thing much like Chelsea
4. A multi millionaire local with ties to the club with enough money to invest every year to aid transfers & make improvements to the stadium
5. Something else
For me I would love to have number 2 but in reality would be happy with number 4.

I thought about fan ownership but in this day & age I don't think that is a sustainable process.
I know but with the PL as it is, it's not realistic to envision a fan owned PL club.

An honest billionaire with personal integrity (yeah, I know), whose wealth comes from manufacturing useful high quality products like, I dunno, cranes, automation systems, handling technology etc. Maybe a man who also knows a good watch when he sees one...

We won't, but if we're not a PL club and don't have new owners, what we'll be is bankrupt, not a fan-owned club.
