At last a proper rumour, this is what I have missed this window…,..copied from Twitter <laugh>


A close friend of mine is a floor manager and receptionist at the harbour hotel in ocean village. I have just received word that 3 hotel rooms had checked in under the name of ICM stellar last night. ICM Stellar Sports is Adam Armstrong’s agent company [HASHTAG]#SaintsFC[/HASHTAG] [HASHTAG]#SkySports[/HASHTAG]

This doesn't make any sense.

Surely Blackburn would have wanted him included in the deal due to the 40% sell on clause. If we had paid £9m plus Obafemi then their sell on fee would be much less.

Depends I’m sure sell ons are actually pretty complicated. Otherwise we could loan Armstrong for like a £15m loan fee then sign him on a free next summer and Blackburn keep all the money

Yeah there may be finer detail that stops this sort of thing happening. Would have been a no brainer otherwise

He’s a very high volume shooter. He takes shots from unlikely locations and doesn’t seem to look for a pass when there’s an outside chance of a goal. It’s an interesting one. It’s an approach that has worked for him last year but will he get the same opportunities against better defenders and will the high volume shooting pay off against better goalkeepers.

I like him but it’s a risky move. There’s a litany of football league standouts that haven’t been able to step up, but there’s always some that can do it. We’ll see how it goes. Finding out is the really good but!
