In respect of domestic streaming, the EFL will return to the position as was prior to the pandemic when the live broadcast or streaming of any match in England, Wales and Northern Ireland is prohibited between the hours of 2:45pm-5:15pm on Saturday afternoons.

EFL Clubs will have the right to live stream midweek matches on iFollow or Club equivalent service, with Sky Sports also able to stream the same Championship fixtures to subscribers across their Red Button interactive and digital services.

All scheduled midweek matches (unless selected as one of Sky Sports Exclusive midweek selections)

Displaced weekend matches – matches which are moved from Saturday 3pm kick-offs for non- TV purposes (at the discretion of the Home club)

Bank Holiday matches (at the discretion of the Home club)

Overseas supporters can watch live all EFL Championship league games provided that they have not been selected for international television broadcast in a territory that has an overseas broadcast partner

    HIGHLIGHTS

In the UK, Quest will continue to be the home for all highlights of matches in the Sky Bet EFL, Carabao Cup and Papa John’s Trophy, with action from a full weekend schedule of matches broadcast at 9pm on Saturdays, and midweek League highlights and Carabao Cup midweek highlights also screened on applicable weeknights. Internationally, a number of the EFL’s broadcast partners show repeat transmissions and highlights.

So we need to fork out for the radio commentary service if we want to follow the game if not at the match !...i wonder if certain 3 rd party apps on firestick will use a vpn and still be able to show the games, would be the better option ?

I wonder if they will allow commentary again from one of our local radio stations.

Now I know this will get me into trouble with the Allamites, but you know what?
    I couldn't give a flying ****!

I have much, too much experience of care homes for the elderly(I never worked in one by the way). One thing the patients in there looked forward to, was the commentary of the sports they'd loved all of their lives.

Even if you think that commentary from Radio Humberside was poor, it was all they had.

The Allams took that away from them.

No idea how these care homes are set up (despite my ma being in one for approx 4 years in Willerby), but it would seem a pittance of an increase for the homes to subscribe to Ifollow (or The City Website for later re-runs) as part of an optional add on to the fees. What does a subscription cost - 5 quid a month? Split between 30-40 residents?

Remember "One flew over the cuckoos nest" baseball scene?

I was under the impression a VPN wouldn't be enough to curtail the EFL broadcasting regulations on iPlayer. You'd still need an overseas bank account registered with Tiger TV to pay for the 3pm Saturday games.

Or you could buy a ticket for the Wigan game next Tuesday. Mine was £6.

Yeah I have thought of that and I would have paid for that myself, but unfortunately my dad died before I follow was a thing.

    Sorry to hear that Kemps.

I'm sure eventually residents of old age homes will have intenet/TV services that give most access to the media/sports/movies etc they would like to watch.

One of my best mates, who died 3 years ago, was set up with cable TV that gave him access to PL football channels in the home his family needed to send him to. I used to go there occasionally to watch matches with him. Always had a big smile on his face. He was on the books of Arsenal in the late 50's, so it was important to him.

If you are on holiday abroad you can access each individual match on iFollow, nothing to do with your bank.

Which is fine if you are fit enough and able to attend - but not so good if you are infirm and / or in a care home.

OK, the care home thing. Would it be a feasible idea for Hull City, or maybe all three clubs in Hull to get I follow into every care home in the city.

It would be excellent PR for sport in Hull, which is much needed.

Sorry, I'm probably talking bollocks, but it's just a seed of an idea.

Basically care homes in Hull get I follow for free.

    Any thoughts?
