Apparently Ralph said ‘Djenepo is defensively super strong. I see him there (left back) in this season’. Only seen the quote on Instagram so don’t know if it’s true. But my god I hope not.
Not entirely impossible that it could work though.

£30m valuation and Everton interestedRumours that Harry Winks set to move to Saints.
A Swedish relative of mine has worked with Zlatan quite a bit , commercially. The ‘third person’ act is just his way of keeping the publicity going and he is an absolute gent, kind and considerate. His ‘brand’ is of course extremely successful. He is just a better striker imo. In his prime I’d class Ibra as one of the best ever, I think Kane is the tier below. The bellend thing is individual, I think Kane is a dribbling ****ing idiot and Ibra is a legend and great in interviews.
City (in theory) just want an out and out striker, not somebody dropping deep and trying to do the job of their attacking mids. Look at the criticism Kane got in some of the Euro games for dropping deep, and that was with 2 of the 3 who could play behind him at City. Kane has everything geared to him at Spurs as he is the main man, that won’t happen at City. I’ve said it most of his career that I think he wouldn’t be anywhere near as prolific at a big club who don’t set up completely to suit him.
If he changes his game to just sit in the box waiting for service then it might work, but we all know Pep doesn’t want his striker to do that so it just doesn’t make sense. Going after a “false 9” seems much more logical, or a striker like Jesus who they already have (although his form/injury record has been poor the last season or so)

Grealish set for a medical next week. Feel for Villa fans, they’ll be sick at the thought. Been there with Lallana.
Only way we could afford that is if we are selling JWP.Rumours that Harry Winks set to move to Saints.
Djenepo at LB is an absolute last resort scenario for me. If we go into another season with no backup at either side I’ll be extremely concerned. Plenty of time to sort that out yet so not going to have a meltdown about it. But Djenepo is unpredictable, not a quality you want in your defensive players. Not to mention his lack of defensive nous in general. Just shudder at the thought of him playing there in the PL tbh.
Wing back in a back 5? He’s never seemed that quick to me though. Not entirely impossible that it could work though.
Are there any Vestergaard rumours? There doesn’t seem to be any Spurs interest - or at least he is well down their list.
They are signing Romero and Tomiyasu from Serie A. Would they really sign 3 centre backs in one window? I forget but don’t they only play with two? Although they seem to want rid of Sanchez which would leave them with Rodon and Dier plus new signings
I always assumed the Vestergaard rumours were more of a Mourinho interest than a Spurs interest

The last line sounds familiar. Levy: “Look lads, I know you want €50m, but he really wants to join us so just accept our offer of €40m would you?”
Then it’s not just the Villa fans that are deluded.Never heard any inside info in my life but I work with a villa fan who is related to their ,manager Dean Smith, so thought I’d share what he told me. (I know he is as he’s shown me family party pictures etc)
Villa thought they could get JWP on the cheap and to appease Grealish into signing a new contract by rocking the boat with a £25 million bid. Southampton were pretty offended by this, and told them £15 million per year of his remaining contract £60 million in total. This was before the news broke that Villa were to accept a bid for Grealish.
This then put the asking price up for an enquiry on Cantwell, which he thinks they will pursue as Southampton would now ask for more.
Feel there’s a bit to play out still as there’s a feeling Southampton do need the money??
There you go.
