N Just for accuracy, I didn’t say the vast majority support taking the knee, I said the vast majority understand that footballers are not left wing insurgents, they are simply making a statement about racism. Nothing about support. I might be wrong it’s just the impression I get. The rest of your post kind of backs up my point, so cheers.
Yeah, I realised afterwards what you meant. I will watch it, but may have to record it. Already looking forward to Cricket and Cummings tonight.
Oi cheeky I don’t read the Mail! As for your ‘hard of thinking’ line you may want to address that with others.
Ah bloody hell mate, didn’t realise the cricket was in tonight….England worth a punt ? Purely out of interest ?
I think England will win, but no value at 4/9. I've had a little on each team to score over 5 runs in their first over at 2/1.
Yeah definitely not a value bet but will give me interest in it. Might have a bullseye on it purely for entertainment
Thanks for sharing that Goldie......thought as usual GG came across very well and answered everything asked of him, even through the obvious provocation from some of the people doing the questioning. Lost his rag once but IMO, understandable.

has the council not got any potholes to fill Culture wars: Leeds City Council to investigate Parkin and Yorkshire Tea links to slavery YORKSHIRE TEA and local baked delicacy Parkin is under review due to its problematic past and links to the slave trade. However, the cake may have connections to colonialism and the slave trade because of its ingredients. The Black Lives Matter movement that swept the nation last year following the tragic death of George Floyd has prompted Leeds City Council to investigate the true history behind the beloved cake in order to educate the younger generation. “Our work will aim to reflect these issues, looking at them from a contemporary perspective in an effort to tell their whole stories,” Leeds City Council told the Telegraph. “Historically, some of the ingredients used to make these ‘local’ products were gained through the triangular slave trade (for example, sugar).” TEA Parkin will be reviewed along with other local favourite products like Yorkshire Tea (Image: Getty•PA) The goal is to examine “how local products such as Yorkshire Parkin and Yorkshire Tea are, in fact, reliant on global trade”. The findings will be used to educate primary school pupils in the area. The council explained that its aim is to educate pupils that, while these products are household favourites, some of the containing ingredients “would have been sourced from around the empire and would have involved the labour of enslaved people as well as exploitation of resources and communities around the world”. Parkin is a gingerbread cake traditionally made with oatmeal and black treacle and typically made for autumn and winter celebrations like Guy Fawkes Night. The findings will be used to educate primary school pupils in the area (Image: Getty) It is still popular on Bonfire Night. A prominent ingredient in the cake is ginger. The spice only became widespread in England due to European trading and colonial expansion. Black treacle most likely would have been made with sugar imported from Britain's sugar plantations in the Carribean. Yorkshire Tea is also being taken under review as while many prefer the drink with sugar that has colonial connections, it isn't the only thing worth examining. The tea plants were grown in Britain's imperial colonies and imported to England.
We're going to run out of gammon! Shortage of workers in meat industry ‘reaching a critically high level’ | Pig World (pig-world.co.uk)
Yes, I think it is. Supermarkets are asking people not to panic-buy on account of all the shortages. How do you think that will go?
That's what the government would like us to think, but there were already shortages before the 'pingdemic'. They'd also like us to think that all the pinging is because the app is too sensitive and not because of Freedom Day and the Johnson Variant.
There is a sad proportion of this country, from all sides of the political spectrum that don’t give a **** about anyone else and just think of themselves so of course there will be shortages of certain items ‘cos Beryl from Bermondsey must buy 232 toilet rolls to wipe her fat backside.
We must exploit those foreign workers, eh Frome. Let’s be honest that’s what it’s all about….Bring in cheap Labour, keep the wages down for everyone and make vast profit for the bosses.
I'm afraid you've got that arseways, Stainesy. Brexit was about doing away with protections to workers' rights (amongst other things). The reason we have worker shortages in certain sectors is because freedom of movement has been removed.
Sorry Strolls but it’s you that’s got arseways. The EU and free movement was always about exploitation of workers and to keep wages down…..sad that those on the Liberal Left are too blind to see it.
