Bravo sir!

I find the MKM to be a Bermuda triangle of phone /internet reception but regardless of that the tech fails too often and is therefore too unreliable to be the sole means of payment.

Cash is king and doesn't need passwords, batteries, the internet, a fixed number of users etc.

Club should expand rather than narrow its options.

You don’t need a phone signal or internet. It’s near field RFID, you put your card next to the machine. It goes beep. You have paid.

Happy to get more technical if you want ???

Funnily enough last Sat I was attempting to pay £6 in a car park.

This woman was in front at the machine and her card had jammed/been refused/ been eaten.

"Stand aside madame," I offered " Let the cash men get their tickets"

With that lovely satisfying clunking sound I fed the coins into the machine and it duly rolled out the sticker, as the woman looked on enviously.

Cash ueber alles, then now and always.

Happy to get less technical every time.

The tech is too temperamental and prone to unexpected **** ups of one type or another, above all for small transactions..

I use both. I know which one is more reliable......

I only ‘pay’ in car parks by bartering other similarly valued items or services

Sunday in Prinny Quay is normally one small shot of mead

I have 3 bedrooms ( 4 beds - 4 mattresses) and 2 couches (settees?) in the lounge (sitting room?).

Cash, no problem!

Edit: A pretty steep gas(petrol) bill and heavy auto(car) maintenance bill.

Yours truly,
A. Luddite.

Our National stadium is cashless and manages to serve 90,000 people without the massive queues we get with 9,000.

It’s quicker, cheaper and nobody can nick the cash, which is probably why Ehab is a fan.
