That actually made me LOL (as the trendy kids say)…..and it’s exactly what one of my mates say when I berate him on his middle class ways
I can be a syndicalist and still enjoy nice things. I hope. If not I’ll be giving the syndicalism a rest…….
Hope your lad recovers quickly and fully Col. Just had a 22 year old in my team confirm positive, she's also very poorly.
I have a distant relative, nurse, who contracted Covid at the hospital where she worked and has had some long term effects for nearly a year. I would wish this on no one and I want to echo those comments above in wishing your son all the best and hopes for a speedy recovery
I hope he recovers soon, Col. A poll at the weekend asked who would be to blame if restrictions had to be re-introduced - 42% said the government and another 42% said the public. They'll be satisfied with that.
Just been to Tesco (I was gonna say Waitrose just for Stan) and about 50/50 wearing masks. I always wear mine just out of courtesy and as I’ve been told my camo snood makes me look ‘thuggish’ I’m more than happy to oblige. My mood wasn’t helped by the smarmy little **** who looked at me sneeringly (so it seemed to me) and said ‘ You don’t need to wear a mask now mate’…..I was rather impressed with my quick witted reply of ‘ I don’t need to put my hand over my mouth when I cough but I’m ****ing polite’…..dunno if he was as impressed to be fair. Don’t think I made a new friend
I got a bus earlier and everyone seemed to be wearing masks. It's still mandatory on TFL of course, but I'm not sure how able they will be to enforce it.
The way I look at it is that it really isn’t asking much of me to wear a face covering in public….I’m not being asked to watch a whole series of ‘Mrs Browns Boys’ while having my balls fed through a meat grinder…it’s just a ****ing mask. It doesn’t feel like I’m being subjugated or having my freedom taken away…it’s just a mask. I come into contact with Corona most days at work so I’m more liable to get it, however unwittingly and pass it on to someone without knowing who could get seriously ill….surely it’s just the right thing to do….ain’t it ?
And now seeing those soppy ****s in London attacking the PoPo ‘cos they haven’t got enough ‘FWEEDERM’….I hate them all even more….****ing ****s
Col fingers crossed for you and your son. It is a b****r what ever age you get it. Hope you dexamethasone and some other stuff to keep him off the ventilator. Thinking of you. And for the rest of you...no it's not over yet
Again I will say.. I hate the Tories ( you may have guessed)..but I am going to still gonna be wearing a mask. 1.. not because Boris told me to 2.. because I want to. 3. .. because it is sensible 4.. because I will safe guard other people. 5..if I safeguard other people, maybe they will protect me and mine. Selfish maybe. But if everyone is selfish in looking after their own, by accident we will look after each other. Clever innit .
19th july- go to a nightclub, no mask, no social distancing. September- only allowed if youve had 2 jabs. WTF is this lot on? I want to get myself some!
Best wishes to your lad Col........ On the mask issue, as was said somewhere yesterday, it's simply good manners to wear one, but unfortunately good manners these days seem to be in short supply........
