And you should be allowed to.

I don't think it should be forced on anyone tbh but, by the same token, join the back of the queue if they do happen to get seriously ill from it.

I think the people who have made the choice not to be vaccinated have already weighed up the evidence and looked at the risk factor.......they are probably pretty confident covid will not be life ending.

As for joining the back of the queue......what about fat ****s drinkers smokers and tories needing a hamster surgically removed from thy a holes.

Do us weary of a test period rushed out new style vaccine people go behind that lot of self abusers en.:emoticon-0138-think

Interesting about weighing up evidence, something you often refer to, the problem is alot of people only ever weigh up what they choose to weigh up as evidence, by that I mean their own already held beliefs. Many people struggle to admit when they are wrong, or refuse to concede on any given argument.

It's a problem I found and still do find with politic threads, people only weigh up the narratives that fit their ideology. An example, twitter users, they generally tend to follow people they like, those people they like will generally share the same views as them - thus they only ever get a very narrow view of information. You're creating your own ideal world via a keyboard, your own bubble, but it becomes misleading because you tend to end up going down wormholes.

Another example would be a twitter follower may unfollow another person, if they give a narrative that don't suit their ideology or beliefs. Hence social media causes a lot of misinformation and it creates divisions that puts its users into different categories, generally because people only ever see what they want to see and get abusive, derogatory and insulting towards others if someone attempts to see something differently, especially if they don't share the same ideals as them, you get little packs forming.

I remember many decades ago, if I got into a conversation with someone who was very militant, normally they tended to be quite aggressive with it as well, you still see those traits in people today, but there is one big difference from then to now.......you can no longer walk away from it because it's in your face, particularly when engaging in new technology.

Seen a lot of very pro or anti vaccine stuff from people. Have always said your choice.

a rushed vaccine, in what sense. We just skipped the profit/political rubbish that delays medical developments normally.

no fewer test/blind/placebo or ongoing tests either. Almost zero side effects being linked and when concerns are raised changes are made.

so how do the CEV avoid the non vaccinated?

they thrown to one side it seems.

I fully agree. But 3M of the total 60m plus in the U.K. have been brushed aside.

nobody is forced to have the vaccine, Norris said I should just avoid the unvaccinated. Now how do I know who isn’t?
I suppose my question to you is, what do you think we should do? Do we wait a few more months hoping that the cases drop?
I’m hoping this doesn’t come across as me being a ****, but I hear a lot of people questioning the timing, but struggle to find a better alternative.
Kids breaking up from school, summer weather etc make it the best time to unlock for me.

I've had my vaccine, I'm just not putting in my children when they don't need it, why should I?

I'm genuinely interested in two things you've said; why it doesn't work for you?

And why you have to avoid unvaccinated people only, when they claim vaccinated people can still be carriers?

Genuinely questions, not having a go of any sort.

I have no idea. But the total lack of support for 3m of the population isn’t good.

I would expect as many predict a sharp rise in cases and also deaths due to the easing and restrictions.

doing it during the summer is good, more people outside. But on the flip more people gathering in public spaces/beaches etc with almost no social distancing.

but at some point a decision had to be made and people sacrificed so others can not wear masks/get out for meals without putting a mask on to go the loo.

That’s the advice from Borris. The CEV to avoid the unvaccinated.
The question from this group is how can people tell? In effect he has again asked us to isolate but without a support network!

I wantnto return to normal, I really do but it’s not gonna happen anytime soon

People sacrificed? Surely whenever we unlocked, the cases/deaths would increase.
The vaccination rate has stalled dramatically in the last week or so. A lot of younger people are not getting jabbed (don’t blame them to be honest).
I’m sure I’ve mentioned it before, but I reckon this is probably about as good as it gets protection wise. If people don’t feel comfortable doing certain things, don’t do them.
I’m still waiting for anyone who disagrees with the re-opening to come up with something better.

You can't win with people mate, some would have us locked down forever, it's quite concerning.

I was listening to a publican yesterday and he was saying if the restrictions hadn't been lifted on Monday, then several other people he knew were about to go under. It's literally destroying peoples lives being lockdown, due to restricted customer numbers and extra staff to police it. But Boris or something, whatever fits the box, Labour would always have done it differently.

Not said I disagree with reopening/ease restriction. But I don’t agree on the advice given to the CEV. Three million people. Avoid the unvaccinated!

The simplest advice would be to stay at home as much as possible, limit social contact with others and buy a suitable mask if you do need to go out.
I honestly can’t see what advice you could want or expect from the government that you don’t already know.
Not directing this at you, but it grates on me the amount of people who demand that the people in charge tell them how to live their lives, but disagree with everything they recommend.

Absolutely.
Add to that the amount of illness/diseases that are going undiagnosed due to lack of resources/waiting lists etc.
Sounds morbid, but I could deal with my nana dieing from COVID, she’s old and not in the best of health, but I’d lose my **** if she suffered because of us being unable to get her seen for something easily treatable.

So what in essence they are requesting is that I isolate again? But this time without the support the the CEV were given the two previous occasions. As I said, thrown under a bus.

You need to get one of those 5G phones. Everybody who has been vaccinated shows up as a red dot in the map application for some reason.

<laugh> You're following advice from Boris ffs? Have you learned nothing in the last 16 months?

Okay, serious question; why don't you ask your doctor(s) for advice about how to protect yourself?

Is that 2 supposedly calm people's anxiety and paranoia....tech hey u gotta love it
No - its a joke.

Unfortunately there is very little that the government can do to protect vulnerable persons apart from providing them with meaningful advice, if the country is going to get back to some sort of normality.

One solution would be to provide them all with biohazard suits so that then at least they have the choice of wearing them when they are in large crowds (e.g. football matches). Alternatively they could provide them with season tickets for Man City.
