So what in essence they are requesting is that I isolate again? But this time without the support the the CEV were given the two previous occasions. As I said, thrown under a bus.
Support for the CEV?
We’ve literally created a vaccine which reduces deaths by around 90%! What more support do you want <laugh>

a man I could vote for.
My wife is classed as extremely vulnerable mate, please don’t assume that none of this concerns me.
We are aware of the risks involved in opening back up, but we are both double jabbed and we would make our own choices about how comfortable we feel doing certain things.
I’m still not sure what you actually want support wise?

At what point have I said that doesn't concern you? If you and the wife are comfortable /happy/accept the lack of support here then good. I am not, how much clearer can I make it from my point of view.

I think you should stay in doors and leave the rest of us get on with living this blink of the eye existence best we can.

Or you could protest

It’s not clear at all mate.
You say you want support. What support are you after?
Financial?
Guidance?

I measure it like this, every day you spend in your car, every mile you travel, you risk being killed. Anyone that has ever driven on the M25, will know you will virtually see an accident every single day.

So it got me wondering, what are the road stastics for the UK, and I found this via the RAC Foundation, and these figures were taken during lockdown!...

  • an estimated 1,472 reported road deaths in 2020, a decrease of 16 per cent from the previous year. The period includes a total of 4 months of national lockdown (April to June and November.)
  • an estimated 23,486 killed or seriously injured (KSI) casualties in 2020, a decrease of 22 per cent compared to the same period in 2019.
  • 115,333 casualties of all severities in 2020, a decrease of 25 per cent from 2019.
  • the reduction in road traffic followed a similar trend in the same period and decreased by 21 per cent.
Now I don't know how that compares to the future with covid, but what I will say, that is only one measure of the many causes of accidents that kill humans every hour of our life in the world.

Do we demand we take cars off the road, no because they are essential to our daily life, as much as living our daily life as normal as possible is important to us as well, otherwise it will not just be covid, that affects our well-being.

Agreed. It would maybe help if they brought a sense of perspective when they released the daily figures.
49 people died of COVID yesterday, roughly 500 died from cancer.

Exactly! Imagine if daily they reported cancer figures in the same way they do covid figures, people would be scared out their wits. News headlines such as; It can get you anytime, it will sneak up on you out the blue and in some cases (pancreactic) you will probably have no more than six weeks to live, once identified.

I've not been happy keeping me and the kids locked up for nearly one and a half year. We have done it to protect the CEV on the governments advice. Now it's time to play out and most importantly for me, let the kids return to normality.

I'm not sure what you want the government to do for you?
