Yes, cases have increased rapidly but many are under 25's who have not yet been vaccinated. Also very few in this and group suffer serious effects.
35 deaths is very sad particularly for all involved however this is a fraction of the deaths seen 6 months ago.
I addition, yes numbers in hospital have increased but also a fraction of the figure from the start of the year.
Schools break for summer in a week or so and it is anticipated the number of new cases will fall dramatically by the end of the month. This will be aided by the greater numbers of young people receiving their vaccinations.
