Masky is asking for your good wishes and thoughts for the progress of this magnificent England team! I know you will wish them well as Masky is asking you on a personal level. As the other home nations get eliminated, you will be able to support a side that could go all the way! Makes sense...yeah? Anyone? :emoticon-0103-cool: Car for sale, white!

England were dire and made a rabble of jocks look better than average. What proper manager would take off Foden and keep Stirling on and play both Rice and Phillips?

Nice for us not to have those problems.<cheers>

Wonder if Page will go for it against Italy, play for a draw or assume 4 points sees us through and rests a few players?

Dont think we'll beat Italy but dont expect a drubbing.
The national side has come a long way.

Assuming that we go through to the knockouts, I presume the yellow cards are carried forward from the group stage - is that correct?

If so, it would make sense to "rest" those who've already picked up a card. That's Keiffer, Ben Davies and Mepham in case they get another and wouldn't be available for the next round.

We'd definitely need to field our strongest side in that game whoever we come up against. Want England to go home before us - again!..........<laugh>

Gets reset after the round of 16.
Should have got moore to kick someone in the last game to get susspended for the italy game.

Didnt Rambo miss out in 2016 through suspension in the semis?

Just had a look remote and I think the yellows are not wiped out until after the quarter finals (last 8).......

"The European administrative body's Article 52 states that a player is suspended for the next match after picking up two yellow cards in two different matches. So, if any player gets booked in both the first and second group stage game, he would be unavailable for the final group game. UEFA also clarified that picking up four bookings in four separate games will also result in a second suspension for players. A player will also be suspended if they pick up a fourth caution in four different matches. Whereas, a red card results in an automatic one-match suspension at any time throughout the tournament.

Luckily, yellow cards do reset for the teams who advance to the latter stage of the tournament.

Single cautions will be reset after completion of the quarter-final round, which means all yellow cards expire on completion of the quarter-finals and they are not carried forward to the semi-finals. Additionally, all cautions and pending yellow-card suspensions accrued in Euro 2020 will expire once the tournament is complete."

It’s harsh to get 2 yellows in not that many games and be suspended especially as refs give yellows so easily.
