but we lost that game yeah, Gerrard, Lampard etc were exceptional. But that golden generation didn’t have the attack we have now. It certainly had a better defence with Terry and Ferdinand.
Owen and Rooney were better then than what we've got striker wise now imo. Up until WC 2006 at least.
I'd imagine if the team was full of Liverpool and Man Utd players then they'd be a lot more supportive.
I do wonder sometimes reading as a neutral, how much club loyalties affect people's perspective on players. The amount of stick I see Sterling get is unbelievable. He also has scored our only goal during the competition and didn't even get due respect for that. I seriously started considering whether there was some unconcious racism going on here. Especially on Twitter. Kane fits the bill perfectly of a white man in an England shirt, no one would have credited a goal by him to Phillips. https://www.skysports.com/football/...ls-according-to-senior-football-administrator I've lost count of the amount of times, I've said Son has been my favourite player at Spurs, yet another that rarely gets recognition. Then I look again and @Treble is often the one on the Sterlings case, a Manchester United supporter no less. Oh what a surprise a Manchester United fans slagging off a City player. For me it makes perfect sense for Sterling and Foden to be starting, personally I'd just chuck Kane in the bin, well pass his sell by date.
England, England, ra ra ra !!! Is that supportive enough? None of that helps the fact we've not played that well so far and look there for the taking against decent opposition of course. We'll see though, starting tomorrow. Which I will be watching and hoping we win. Sorry for having an opinion. On a football forum. Which are there so people can share opinions.
So come on own up, which one of you shhites has been claiming Chief is not supportive enough, let's being having yer, fookers! I reckon it's @Libby - bloody troublemaker that guy.
