ahh. May have had it off you of it was a 90’s shape one. That was the model when they stopped being a bit square.

loads of good old cars being flogged from people in london. Friend of mine just got a 205 GTI a j plate from from down there. Does the ULEZ mean only cars older than 2010 pay?

Yeah, was the era when all manufacturers were adopting a generic shape.

The ULEZ extension is in October. The longer I leave it the less I’ll get for it, but I can’t beat to part at the mo.

Our old fella used to always call them a "shooting brake", no idea why but think it may have been some name he picked up from the Yanks during the war.

EDIT...........after years of never thinking about it just did a google.

Shooting Brake, a vehicle with enough rear space to carry hunting rifles and the spoils of the hunt such as deer.

Really? I used to kip in the back as a kid on the late night motorway trips back home... or sticking V signs up to the drivers behind.

    Happy days.

So does the charge apply even if its just parked outside? Seems a bit unfair if you are not actually emitting anything.

They need to adopt the Indonesian method:
    1. 3 in one zone - operates from 6.30am to 10am and 4pm to 7pm. Workarounds - take your maid and driver and driver takes maid home after 10am or pick up a 3 in one Jockey who you pay about 20p to (50p for a good looking female one) and drop them off after the camera. They catch the bus back and do it a few more times each day.
    2. Only allow odd or even numbered ending number plates depending on day of week. Make sure you have two cars, one odd, one even.

It will be a sad day when they introduce the camera operated charging scheme once the pandemic finishes.

No idea what a station wagon is!

It's a big car though, yes. Bigger than the previous version, which I properly noticed when a full set of golf clubs slid into the boot perfectly without me having to wedge them in diagonally.

Which is pretty much why I got the car, well apart from having three kids* and needing the space. Plus, they are superb. Unlike the Skoda superb, which is anything but.

*the kids are actually banned from going in it for now*
