Dunno, it seems quite 'exciting' over there...

One of the worst films I've ever seen.
It's not in the 'it's so bad, it's good' category, it's in the 'it's so bad it's ****ing awful catagory'.

John Tonker ain't it.
Charles Ekberg. Makes Peter Swann sound like Enstein.
A relatively general statement I'd say. Nothing special.
My review of it...Dogshit. minus 5 starsOne of the worst films I've ever seen.

Enough about Grimsby, what about the film.My review of it...Dogshit. minus 5 stars
It's not very good...Enough about Grimsby, what about the film.
The gravity of your question is huge, you're the only one who lepton the subject. It's a quantum leap of faith to assume otherwise. Is that your theory?
I've lived and worked among Gy & Scunny fans for more than forty years - the majority of 'em are sound; I got lots of good natured piss taking and banter when they were both above us and a lot of ''well dones'' and ''you're gonna enjoy that'' from the same piss takers after Wembley '08 I hope their ownership gets sorted out and they can start rebuilding.
Despite not going thru' the trapdoor things are looking a bit more ominous for Scunny - they owed c.£11 mill to their owner, he's sold the club and ground to another company that he owns for the £11 mill he's owed which now leaves Scunny with bugger all assets if/when/should he sell their ground to property developers who are very active in the Glanford Park area.
I sat next to their owner at an event once. Personally I found him really pleasant, although I'm not sure I'd want to cross him in business. He hasn't sold the club, he's transferred the ground from one of his companies to another, writing off £11m of debt in return. He wants to develop the land around the ground, but is having trouble raising the cash, as anyone looking at the accounts for the club sees a loss making business, whereas now they'll see the company looking to do the development is a profitable property company. The club still has a 999 year lease, so can't be kicked out. It's a sensible move for him and doesn't really make any difference to the club, other than it's now debt free so potentially easier to sell (particularly to anyone who fancies building their own ground).
He was well thought of when I worked there for a few yearsI sat next to their owner at an event once. Personally I found him really pleasant, although I'm not sure I'd want to cross him in business.
What he was absolutely focussed on was getting the area developed round the ground, with mutual benefit for him and the club.
TWT what happens, but recent moves fit with what he was suggesting then, so no drama I wouldn't have thought.
I agree it was absolutely awful, not expected of CohenOne of the worst films I've ever seen.

I had to laugh. Look North, last night, talking about Grimsby's 'Glory days' in the 90s.
Excuse me, did I miss something?
I though their high point was Justin Whittle elbowing Alan Shearer
