Like him or not (I think he talks sense most of the time and he hates us bar codes) he’s on the money (pun intended) on this one. I can’t find a single person so far who has come forward and said this is a good thing?
This is the issue though. I think it’s already initially been bought. The product is there and to balance it the tv companies need an audience. That’s where this will all down and fast. If there is no paying customer (not saying supporter in this context) then the commercial gains disappear.

So how is this supposed to work anyway? Liverpool play Real at Anfield one week then in Spain the next? Then off to Bayern the week later? So what happens to all the match going fans who go to away games? lizzy from Liverpool after forking out a grand for a season ticket, now has to come up with air fares every fortnight? The scary thing for me is what the Glazers will do to this club if the fans stop their dream from happening. The PL need to expel the owners, am I dreaming this or did Liverpool former owners get given weeks to sell the club or lose it? Our government need to act, but they’ll back down at the first sign of a fight.
Ye that. They buy shirts, scarves and gloves. In America commercial revenue is what makes you successful, in Europe the thing that annoys these people is that commercial revenue doesn't immediately mean youre going to be guaranteed the most illustrious places. Fundementally what they want to do is increase revenue and remove the competition that annoys them
Ok but the concept itself is flawed imho. Who wants to watch a league where there is no competition. No relegation for some. Like what! Its not football. Dunno what it is but its something I'd have no fukin interest in watching I know that.
The same teams don't always win in American Sports though. It's not the point though. The draft systems mean that lots of teams get to win it.
Me either. What would be fuking hilarious is if we all break away and because fifa won't allow players to take part in both comps (wc +super league) after 2/3 seasons all the best players in the world go back to teams in normal leagues and leave the yank prem in the wilderness
That's the whole point of why most of us watch football,the local rich businessman puts his money into a lower league team and hopes to compete against the big boys some day,he has a dream just like the rest of us.
