Just seen the Mourinho interview... It's so disappointing to think Poch was sacked for this fella.

poch gave us 5 years of decent football and progressed us significantly during that time, ahead of the scheduled “project”.
At the first sign of the wheels coming off, levy pulled the trigger.

Mourinho has done nothing during his time. 9 new players, and no improvement.

we’ve gone from a generally harmonious dressing room to one that’s completely divided. We’ve forgotten how to play football, have no future plan, haven’t learnt from previous errors/mistakes on the pitch, confidence is in pieces, and the fans are far more toxic than they were over Poch’s bad spell at the end point of his time with us.

HOW IS JOSE STILL IN CHARGE? It’s a farce.

The problem with pinning hopes on a romantic appointment like Redknapp or Jol is that, if they don't work out, the fanbase toxicity would get worse - and it has to be asked if either would even work, as not only have both been out of work for four years but Redkapp's stints at QPR and Birmingham were unimpressive while Jol's time at Fulham was a bust and his last job was in the Egyptian league

Similar an be said about shuffling somebody up the bench: Ledders is the romantic choice but there's no evidence he won't be another Sherwood or Ferdinand, while Sacramento is the cerebral choice yet at this point it's doubtful he could motivate the squad give he's been sat next to the energy vampire for eighteen months meaning there's an obvious hurdle he needs to overcome when he should be rallying the players (and is that theory about him learning on the job by shadowing the ubermensch being mentioned anymore?)

And the fact still remains that sacking without a replacement sorted out could do even more damage if we dream of Nagelsmann or Allegri or whoever and end up having to make do with Eddie Howe or Peter Bosz

Do I want him gone? Yeah, clearly, but I also want the security of a manager with a long-term plan and an understanding that football isn't an optional extra in games being ready to step in come the end of the season

Things ARE toxic.
We've imploded on the pitch...
(1 win in the last 6 games)
(27 points in the last 22 games)

Results may not have been better if we had sacked him but the football would have been, cos we would not be playing turgid, defensive ****e with nonsensical team selections.

A team set up to attack would have had a chance to beat Arsenal and Newcastle...an extra 5 points puts us in the top 4.

IMHO Levy is negligent if he did not have a plan B, even for the short term.

This has been coming from mid December.

If it has been clear as day on here then why couldn't Levy see it?

From December the match days have been either...

1. Start off ok
2. Take a lead
3. Play defensive turgid football and concede.

Or
1. Start badly
2. Get worse in the middle
3. The less said about the end the better

EVERY game bar Leeds, Palace (home), West Brom and Villa has followed one of those patterns.

I ain't interested in romantic appointments, I am interested in wanting to enjoy watching spurs play but that has only happened 4 or 5 times this season cos we are managed by a dinosaur who should NEVER have been appointed.

Not winning trophies don't annoy me, like wise with not qualifying for CL football but us being unwatchable is completely unacceptable and as Levy thinks this is OK or was too negligent to make a plan B he should be removed from all football matters.

Which makes his tactics ridiculous. Even Ali Gold is saying JUST ATTACK

Preaching to the choir my friend.

As I said before the game, the one thing I truly can’t forgive Jose for is ruining the return of Bale. No one on this planet will ever convince me Lamela or Lo Celso or ****ing Moussa Sissoko are better options than him.

We’ve been robbed of potentially having the best front three in the league all because Jose prefers players that “wOrK hArDeR”.

I think most of us feel that DH

It's got to the stage of, do I want to waste another couple of hours watching Spurs. We are putting out defensive teams

WHAT ARE WE DEFENDING?

Completely agree.
My love of spurs comes from them distracting me from the real stresses in the world. The anticipation of the match, trying to get a ticket, travelling there with my girls or my mates, the noise, watching on TV, second guessing the formations, texting mates or my girls or posting on here during games, discussing the aftermath...but most of all enjoying watching us play.

I know some wanna win trophies beyond anything else (I ain't digging cos that's fair enough) but I just wanna enjoy watching us and I don't...not a bit.

When Ramos was our manager I at least enjoyed some games like our EL run, Carling cup run, and some very good prem performances.
When AVB managed us I at least saw us use our players effectively in the first season...even under Sherwood we played some decent attacking football at times.

But this is unwatchable turgid **** and has been apart from United, Leeds,West Brom (h) and Palace (h)
4 good 9 minutes all season and if you go back to Jan 1st 2020 I can only think of the Arsenal, United and Leicester games ....so that's 7 good 90 minutes in a season and a half.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I'm only watching to spite Mourinho. Terry Neill, Gerry Francis Christian Gross, Hoddle, Santini, Ramos, The Gilet and The Coat didn't see me off....and this ****er won't either.

The above managers were **** but I despise Mourinho because this squad should be romping Top 4 and in the EL semi-finals. We aren't because he's an ego maniac obsessed with playing obsolete football, with players who will never be able to do it moderately well. They could play expansive attacking football pretty well...but he won't.

As much as I hate everything that Mourinho is and everything that he does, this is all on Levy. They can both "**** off".

Rant ends.

Having just endured Cardiff's draw at Reading I couldn't bring myself to watch Tottenham last night. I could see exactly how it would go. The only surprise was getting a point and not nil points.

Mourinho's continued presence can only serve to drive away Kane and anyone else with talent. If Levy cannot see that the he is blind as well as deluded.

Like others on here I would be happier seeing us lose by the odd goal in 7 as long as we gave it a go and played good attacking football, not the dross Mourinho seems to think will bring success.

It may cost megabucks to get rid of him but that must now be seen as an investment and an opportunity to get someone in who can mould the team back into an attacking, entertaining force.

And perhaps ensure we keep Kane and Son.

Levy has to ask himself, do fans want to see Bale or Mourinho next season? The only chance of Bale staying and playing to a full Stadium is a new manager. On top of that there are now a number of players like Dele & Winks who have been devalued by the managers tactics. I am sure that Lol Celso, Ndombele , and Hojbjerg could all perform better in an attacking formation and see their value rise.
In other words it's a very expensive option to keep Mourinho, if it costs 30 million to get him out then that will be the cheaper option compared to replacing the squad. Levy is very good with figures he'll have worked this out. I suspect it may save him some millions to sack Mourinho at the end of the season and that's what I expect him to do if not before.

You're right but I think Levy is the biggest Mourinho fan out there and is more likely to back Mourinho in the summer than sack him

I think despite that, the figures will make the decision for Levy. Remember he may not understand football but at figures he is supreme.
