As far as I can see, the only solution to avoiding a border in the Irish sea is for the UK to join the customs union, which I believe is also tied to free movement of people in the EU.
Johnson lying about no border has not helped.
There dosen't have to be any border in the sea, and the quicker Boris Johnson and the EU recognise that, the better for everybody. You don't have to belong to a customs union for people to use common sense. I'm a brexiter btw, and I also believe Ireland should become united, but it is what it is and I have to accept that, so time to remove the barriers and cool the boiling pot and stop using the borders of custom unions as an excuse not to. Too much point scoring going on all the time, whereas it's only complicated if people choose it to be.
