Can only really go for the ones I have seen. Rowell, Gabbers and Quinny for me. Probably more about the memories than real ability but sod it, them three gave some good times.

It was mate, his debut could have been so different. Ruled out as they said he didn’t touch it off the throw in!

He used to score about 17 a season against us for Southend then we signed him he was absolute dog ****.

Had to be Shack and Gurney for me.

The third was more difficult, but in the absence of Wayne Entwistle, I went for Lord Rowell. He was a joy to watch. Was it Orient he got injured against? Hated them ever since

Some very worthy candidates on the list, although I would have had The Don in there before Welbeck.

This is how good a judge I am. Remember watching southend at Roker when Angel and Collymore were up top. Bus on way back I said Angel was the better of the two!

Difficult to pick three. I have to have Rowell, first striker I watched for the lads as a bairn. Defoe is a must an all, was a class player and even classier fella. Last choice goes to Phillips, one of a handful of players to get 30 prem goals in a season. Really difficult choice leaving Quinny out mind.

I agree with all that mate, totally.

For me though, seeing a local lad score a hat trick at SJP tops everything.

The smile on his face will be with me til my dying day.

Halom is one of the most underestimated strikers of our history ...

... if he'd scored in the final it would've been so different.

I was about 10 when he went Palace, in my head he was better than Maradona.

Thinking back now £1.8million was some wedge at the time.

I think you can only choose those you've seen so.

Niall is the best target man I've seen so he has to be in.

Marco gives you pace and power

Fox in the box; head says Defoe heart says Rowell. My support for Sunderland is heart over head for sure, so Gary Rowell.
