It's still too early to see whether we proceed with Kabak but I have been pleasantly surprised with him. He has settled in nicely and shown he can play on both sides of the defence. For £18m, he could be a shrewd long term signing - someone who will be behind VVD and Konate but has the potential to become a regular.
If anything, I reckon we sell Davies and Phillips and we'll get £15m-20m if we're lucky.
On paper, Konate fits the profile perfectly. He is the ideal option - quick, strong, good in the air, decent on the ball and can play in a high line. The only question mark over him is his injury record.
