We need players who can actually stand up. Having talented but injury-prone players has cost us the league, and we're currently better off with the more modest attributes of the likes of Phillips. The best player in the world is no use to us on the injury table. In reality we're not going to go for someone who's completely useless, so as long as he's decent the injury record becomes vital.

BTW on knoate. He had two ops on this hip problem in 2019/20. hip injuries and footballers are always a big concern IMO. I wouldn't pay much attention to other small knocks that are reported on top. We need to be 100% on this hip thing.

Yes. Better than Upamencano, and is one of the best young centre backs in Europe. Huge potential. Pretty much ticks every box for us (bar injury record). He would be number 1 partner for VVD, with Kabak and Gomez as the back ups.
