For weeks now we have been building up towards another outrageous performance but injuries and poor referees have gotten in the way.

Joey Barton's side are in the form of our lives and it may well be against them.

My head is saying 0-2 but my heart is screaming 0-5 so, as there is plenty of time to deal with reality then, I'll allow myself some indulgent happiness and go with my heart.

If he has a 30% chance that should mean a sub-appearance in the last 20 minutes.

It's great that all the outfield subs feel they have a chance of being involved.

30% chance?? seems like no chance of him starting as you say. Put him on the bench but only play him if we need him to try and pull us out if the clarts if it goes that way.

Sam Nicholson wont be playing for them tomorrow he is out for the season.

Lee Johnson: We have had a Covid situation - we're not going to reveal who. Players have had to be tested, but the tests have come back OK. [HASHTAG]#safc[/HASHTAG]

Reactions: Sunderpitt

I looked in on the Bristol Rovers forum and they had this presser on YouTube.

Barton is bonkers, he criticised the previous management scathing for recruitment and coaching.

Some fans agreed that the previous incumbents were useless... but did point out the Barton record to date is crap as well.

Apparently he had the squad watching Sergio Ramos and Baresi defending. Partly because the players being younger than Barton do not know the greats.

Barton's comments must really enamour him to those players he is meant to be motivating. His job is to coach and manage players to be the best and most effective they can be. He should focus on what difference he can make.

Imagine the board of directors listening to him. You would be forgiven for wondering what homework he did on the squad before joining and for wondering if you have appointed a good coach.
