This just feels like a huge game. We’d be in a great position with a win, going into Easter games against Oxford and Peterborough.

    Come on Sunderland.

I fully expect us to beat the jailbirds team especially after he publicly criticised them. Two quick early goals and just control the game.

They seem to raise their game against the better sides in this league and with Joey Barton as well, this game definitely has a bit of edge. Can see a disappointing 1-1 draw, with them getting an early goal and clinging on for dear life. Similar to us against them at the start of the season.

    They don't.

Since Barton took charge they've been beaten by Charlton, with a caretaker manager, and Hull ....

"Hull City moved top of League One with a professional victory at home against struggling Bristol Rovers.
The visitors - now in the relegation zone - never laid a glove on in-form City, who eased to a third win on the bounce with two goals from Gavin Whyte."

Since November they've been beaten twice by Oxford also Charlton, Gillingham, Peterborough, Hull,

The only 'better side' they've beaten is Portsmouth who's manager was off work with Covid.

    You're wrong again.

I'm feeling very confident about this game. We've head a week's break and the players will be fresh. Play anywhere near our best and we will comfortably. Barton isn't his usual chipper self and I think he knows what's coming.

Absolute pleasure coming on to see these mstchday threads. Thanks RTB.

McLaughlin will be a miss. He is a real unsung player. That said we can cope. We need to dominate from the whistle, get in front and they will struggle. A victory by a couple of goals for me.

You really are a proper WUM. they beat Portsmouth back in February and Accrington earlier this month. They’ve been battered in virtually every game for the last 5 month. You talk absolute ****e.

I won’t bite like you want me to but I’ll call you out every time with cold hard facts until you **** off. You’re trying so hard to ruin this board but you are just one in thousands of decent posters and I’m sure you’ll be off once you realise you’re not getting the reactions you crave.

Seen your like on here come and quickly go when you realise you can’t **** yourself silly by winding people up.

I said to my mates a few wks back that we would go the rest of the season unbeaten and I’ve no reason to change my mind.

    haway the lads.

I'm looking at a comfortable win for us, I hope that the lads are not thinking of it as a forgone conclusion though. I'm sure Johnson will be telling them

A comfortable win... I'll take that..

But we rarely have a comfortable win... usually very hard fought

When things were going not so well it wasn’t as easy to spot @Wolfy was a WUM but now it’s bleeding obvious with every post. :D

Personally I’m not as confident as everyone else but I never am due to anxieties that exist way beyond football. We obviously should win and nobody with any sense from any supporting nature would expect anything otherwise.

this is really good news. I don’t rate him individually that highly but I don’t think anybody can deny that Wyke seems to play a lot better when O’Brien is around him, so I’m all for it. And it’s not like Diamond or Gooch did anything when O’Brien was out to make them undroppable.
