Nicola Sturgeon has angrily rejected claims of a "cover-up" after an outbreak of coronavirus was linked to a Nike conference in Edinburgh at the end of February. At her daily coronavirus briefing, the First Minister said concerns over patient confidentiality meant details of the event were not made public earlier.

think you have just stood in your own horse ****, a dishonest woman backed by morons

Just throwing a couple of journalistic reports doesn't prove anything.

Did she mislead Hollyrood - yes, she did.

Did she do this 'knowingly' - well, she probably got away with one. In the meantime the scandal has damaged her reputation in the run-in to the May Elections. The Tories are also trying to maximise political capital out of this and drag her name through the dirt any way they can. Meanwhile Labour have stayed out of it and seem to be the ones gaining support. Post Brexit, the Tories are not welcome in Scotland and will be trammeled in the coming elections.

The way things stand the SNP will not have a significant majority come May and the clarion call for independence will be muted

Just throwing a couple of journalistic reports doesn't prove anything.no problem we will all now believe what you say without a shred of any evidence to the fact

Did she mislead Hollyrood - yes, she did.

Did she do this 'knowingly'fekk up the covid yes she did
did she lie to the investigation anyone with a memory that bad shouldn't be in charge of a dog never mind a country
why are Labour keeping out
because Starmer isn't stupid some one will come out with the SNP votes and he is hoping it's him
Tories aren't welcome in Scotland a bold silly statement do the have seats in Scotland ....yes they do will they pick up more yes they will

Scotland did go it alone on some Covid measures and went as far as rejecting some of the policies from Westminster. While Boris blustered and overpromised with flip-flop policies she came across and reassuring and clear. There were no endless, tedious slides or pasty faced experts. In Scotland Nicola gave you the details; candid, stark and to the point.

As the original virus hit England first and as a consequence of some Boris bright ideas opening up England ahead of Scotland, she had the benefit of hindsight as she gazed on her southern neighbours. She was more cautious and as a result Covid numbers have been significantly lower than in England and elsewhere. Part of that is also due to her clear messaging, she lead the podium very well and in general the people of Scotland went along with this.

She has also used this quite shrewdly as political capital for her campaign to be the leader of an independent Scotland.

And it was all going so well until this can of worms spilled out, wreaking havoc all over her show. There's no doubt that people are questioning her integrity and that same sincerity she displayed on TV screens during this pandemic. Support for the SNP has been more than dented a bit and it seems Labour, not Ruth Davidson's Tories who are picking up. And it could get worse, if the recently commissioned Education Report gets leaked ahead of the May elections (the delay in its publication is Nicola's doing) it could tip the scales and consign the current notion of Inderef2 to history.
1/While Boris blustered and overpromised with flip-flop policies she came across and reassuring and clear. AFTER BEING BRIEFED BY THE SURGEON GENERAL OF ENGLAND ON COVID ADVICE WHICH GAVE HER TWO OPTIONS
2/Covid numbers have been significantly lower than in England DUE TO LOWER POPULATION AND AS MANY SCOTS LIVING AND WORKING IN ENGLAND FOR A BETTER STANDARD OF LIVING THAN SCOTLAND
3/She lead the podium very well and in general the people of Scotland went along with this HOWEVER THIS PLATFORM WAS FOR COVID INFORMATION NOT POLITICAL SPEECHES ,WHICH PUT THE REST OF THE PARTYS AT A POLITICAL DISADVANTAGE
4/There were no endless, tedious slides or pasty faced experts. In Scotland Nicola gave you the details; candid, stark and to the point. IN FACT THERE WERE NO EXPERTS ON COVID AS THE DID NOT HAVE THE NUMBERS OF SICK TO FORM AN OPINION AND USED THE INFORMATION GLEANED FROM ENGLISH INVESTIGATIONS TO FORM A STRATEGY

She has also used this quite shrewdly for political capital towards her campaign to be the leader of an independent Scotland.TOTALLY DISREGARDING THE NUMBER OF LIES SHE HAD BE CAUGHT OUT WITH

She's not out of the ****e yet. Parliament have stated that she misled them.

We just have to hope it's enough to change the minds of the waverers. There's nothing she can do will turn off the headbangers though. It's more of a cult than Trump and Corbyn put together.

The system up there is hopelessly out of balance. No checks on the First Minister, collusion with the police and civil service, and withholding important information and censorship thereof.

Hamilton, a pathetic figure really, has complained that his report has been hugely redacted and is therefore misleading. But still stands behind it!

She's politicised the Scottish civil service, though the process started before her with Salmond. People have been moved out of key positions and replaced by their (Sturgeon and Salmonds) favourites, people easily manipulated or SNP supporters. I have a friend who worked for the Scottish Government and told me a few stories about how things were up there. Covering up bad behaviour, bullying or harassment was common for SNP members/nationalists, but if you weren't on their side or stood up to them by telling them something they didn't want yo hear you could be subjected to smears and bullying from them. Goes to show Scotland isn't ready for independence if a party can't be held to account. Its almost like a South American or African banana Republic like Zimbabwe

Nailed it marra, its kicking off now on BBC news

You should read the blogger Wings Over Scotland. A firm believer for independence in Scotland, and he has tore apart Sturgeons defence and in particular the Hamilton report supposedly exonerating her. Apparently her story that she forgot about an early meeting with Salmond was believable as she had a "poor relationship" with him at the time... I jest you not. This Hamilton is supposed to be a QC and "independent" although he was appointed personally by Sturgeon to investigate herself !!!!. The WoS is now anti Sturgeon big time because he realises that with her SNP in power no one in their right mind in Scotland would vote for independence. Salmond is an obnoxious person face to face, but a formidable politician ... Sturgeon is a good talker.

You have to wonder how low Sturgeon can actually go before she loses any support. A huge chunk of tory voters seem to do so while holding their nose or due to lack of a better alternative, but SNP voters are balls deep.

She went to Cobra Meetings who were advised by the SG. She has been consistently more cautious with Covid decisions than England

2/Covid numbers have been significantly lower than in England DUE TO LOWER POPULATION
No, due to the stats of Covid caes and deaths per 100,000 - look it up

AND AS MANY SCOTS LIVING AND WORKING IN ENGLAND FOR A BETTER STANDARD OF LIVING THAN SCOTLAND
Over the past 2 decades Scotland has had a positive net migration in-flow

As politicians do, look at the Tories who mention the "success of the vaccine roll-out" at any opportunity

Decisions were based on UK and elsewhere, just as is the case with vaccination data. In general, Science does not recognise borders

/ Makenstine over and out

I'm not sure where you're getting your info from, but I can observe that your generally ill-informed Nicola rants are not a reflection of current events in Scotland

She has been harmed by this, however, SNP are expected to win the constituency vote and be further supported by the Greens who have gained ground for the second vote which, if the current polls ring true, will mean a push for a second referendum by the SNP-Green Alliance

I believe independence could be a good move for Scotland, but that may be a separate argument

As for Sturgeon running the show. Personally, I'd rather it wasn't her or her faceless sidekick John Sweeney

enjoy your new identity, wonder how long you last before your next ban, you can blow your thoughts out of your arse as much ass you like, as you usually do, still doesn't prove you right , it's all bias reporting by her cohorts to cover her arse FACT she said 50 times i can't remember when interviewed FACT
she hired the biased barrister who is a nationalist to try and clear her name FACT
she was briefed on covid by the English and went running to the media before Boris got there,FACT

SLIDE TO THE START AT 0.38 FOR HER LIES

I don't particularly like her, I certainly don't trust her and as with many others, I don't believe for one second her memory lapse and think she is a lying toe rag who should have been forced to resign

That doesn't mean she isn't heading for an election victory

44.6% of voters voted Tory, that's not a true majority.

Most of the electorate cast their vote against them
only because the lefty students couldn't be bothered to get out of bed and vote, so whose fault is that, your showing yourself up again, what is it with you you just cant take being proved wrong again, are you intentionally trying to push a nasty response from me like you usually do then run to the mods,
