It’s a bit harsh suggesting Wooperts posts racist memes. I mean, whoever’s heard of a racism emanating from the fine city of Portsmouth for goodness sake?
Surrey, I am very sorry that you are upset. Please take a breather and come back. What unites us is our affection for the R’s, and even on this topic we can have varied and widely different opinions. As for topics such as politics, religion, values, etc, I am sure that we all differ and discussions on these topics are always emotive. I personally do not visit this site to discuss such points. We look forward to you returning and talking about QPR, plus posting better photos than Kiwi!
Surrey - I understand that sometimes things on here can escalate for no real reason but for many people this forum is an escape from the day to day reality, but in the end it is just that, an escape I took a step back from here a few years ago when my personal life was breaking down and I had to deal with many real life issues and all that entails, and in the end this is a place where we are bound together by our common love for a football team / part of London / part of our past I was fortunate a few years back to attend the Brix commemorative match at HQ v Birmingham and met many of the people on here. Many of us met again at the Wembley play off final and I can honestly say to a man & Beth they are all decent and likeable people Take a step back, take a break, deal with life and come back here when you feel comfortable I come back here more nowadays albeit not as involved as before and I look forward to the re-admittance of fans at LR and meeting up again with the Not606 QPR nutters again Off the top of my head i think most of us have been on here on and off for.10 years or so. Must be something in it, right?
All good points made on here Surrey..... we're all bound by our love of a stupid little football club in W12...... Personally I've found the best thing is to avoid the politics thread and to some extent the covid one although there are some interesting items on that from knowledgeable posters..... The thing is if we closed those threads this place would become a bit of a ghost town in between games as there's only so much R's related things that we can talk about....... As others have said IRL every one from here that I've had the pleasure of meeting are top people, even Ellers when he was rather worse for wear at 11am on play off final day!!!!!! Take a break but don't be a stranger...... BTW uber is still here..... Up the R's...
Don’t bring that up. There was a video of me on You tube where I entered the row of seats before the game and I was so drunk I fell over and there was a concertina of fans who fell down like skittles when I fell on them.
I haven't seen it for a bit (although I haven't really looked). They may have taken it down now? I will have a look. It didn't show me in a good light as I looked so drunk. It must have been those tequila slammers on the 8.10am train to London.
TBH Col there were Parts I do. I remember talking to you at that Hennessey's pub. 2 other pubs I can't remember but one was Baker Street? I remember that they wasn't going to let me in to Wembley. Talking to two sour Derby fans on the way back to HQ. Dancing with Norway at that Rangers pub With Tooting and a few others late on and getting on a bus that went about 50 yards and the driver said 'here we are'. As for getting home... I don't have a clue to this day. The two videos of me that were posted was one before the game when I fell over and people were helping me up and when Bobby scored and I was running around. :0 Great day. Sorry Col I just read your message again. I remember the sending off and the goal.
Now you come to think of it... I also remember having some beers with the Irish R's. Nines introduced me to some others 606'ers. There were a couple of Aussie lads and a really nice Lady who gave me a plate of food. Not sure if it was Beth, she would have to confirm but she called me Ellers.
Not long been up and seen this thread. Firstly I’m really sorry you feel like this Surrey and to be totally honest, I must take my fair share of responsibility. It’s quite obvious that me and Ellers haven’t got on for a while (on the board anyway) and it’s quite clear that at times I was looking to have a pop at him...that just isn’t right and I apologise to those who might of taken offence. For me, The Politics Thread is one of the highlights of the board, especially when I had fallen out of love with football and our team. It is a place where I’ve learnt stuff, hope I’ve put some honest opinions across and had more than my fair share of disagreements.....if it went I think the board would be a worse of place without it. I’ve met Ellers in real life and to be honest, he was and is a decent lad and I really don’t bear him any ill......it’s all just a bit of theatre and while I was the handsome Prince .....Ellers, in my eyes anyway, was the evil villain.......me and him have conversed privately and hopefully this will come to an end...hopefully he’ll still debate on the Politics Thread “differently” (as will I) and you will return to the board. I respect everyone on the board who I’ve met in real life and one of the highlights really was the cup game at Wembley and being able to help so many of you on here in getting tickets...it’s a memory that will forever be in my heart. Take care lads (and ladies) and all the best. The board would be a far worse place with any of you leaving.
