Not long been up and seen this thread.
Firstly I’m really sorry you feel like this Surrey and to be totally honest, I must take my fair share of responsibility. It’s quite obvious that me and Ellers haven’t got on for a while (on the board anyway) and it’s quite clear that at times I was looking to have a pop at him...that just isn’t right and I apologise to those who might of taken offence.
For me, The Politics Thread is one of the highlights of the board, especially when I had fallen out of love with football and our team. It is a place where I’ve learnt stuff, hope I’ve put some honest opinions across and had more than my fair share of disagreements.....if it went I think the board would be a worse of place without it.
I’ve met Ellers in real life and to be honest, he was and is a decent lad and I really don’t bear him any ill......it’s all just a bit of theatre and while I was the handsome Prince ;).....Ellers, in my eyes anyway, was the evil villain.......me and him have conversed privately and hopefully this will come to an end...hopefully he’ll still debate on the Politics Thread “differently” (as will I) and you will return to the board.
I respect everyone on the board who I’ve met in real life and one of the highlights really was the cup game at Wembley and being able to help so many of you on here in getting tickets...it’s a memory that will forever be in my heart.
Take care lads (and ladies) and all the best. The board would be a far worse place with any of you leaving.

Shame you feel that way. I think there’s a great level of camaraderie on here. A disparate family that often bicker, it would be boring any other way.

Can’t agree there’s even a hint of racism here at all and Diane Abbot, really?

To my mind the forum is a poorer place without most of the posters, even some of the old fruitcakes that were ultimately banned.

Try and make it a short break eh?

After 10 plus years here i've had enough. Its just all too much and the last year has taken its toll..Ellers being quite frankly a dick...Wooperts incescant racist memes about Diane abbott.. ...its too much.
Respect to most posters..Beth number 1! .99's especially and Kiwi (although my pics better so up your game!) Staines...Cate...too many to say! I might return but for now over and out.. I hope not missed out anyone but love you all. Will still read but not post I think. Love to you all...yes even you Ellers! Guys...be nicer ok? Thats all.
Being honest, I just haven't made the effort to find a better QPR forum. Maybe I will, one day.

The thing I like least about this message board is that it's so cliquey. I can spend time writing a well thought out post and no one interacts with it. But then occasionally someone who is part of "the crew" will quote reply it saying something as simple as "yeah, agreed." and they get a number of likes and replies.

Sometimes it's like you're invisible if you're not one of the clique. In that respect, I have myself to blame for even bothering.

Oh, and I agree with the tone... it can be really childish and bigoted here with attitudes towards women, non-straight people, immigrants, etc.

We should make a clique. I was recently informed I’m not part of the clique I thought I was :(

You had me till your last paragraph.
I really don't see any racism on here, although there's plenty of accusations of it.
Apart from one poster, who shall remain un-named, I don't see any homophobia either.

It can be a bit cliquey at times, but isn't that just like real life? I mean, if we all met up one day, we would all eventually gravitate to those with similar views to our own, possibly to the detriment of ignoring the viewpoints of others.

I've trawled round a couple of the other fan forums, and they all suffer from the same clique-ness, and some are far worse than here for the bitching that goes on.

You make some very valid points during the matchday threads, and obviously have a keen eye for tactics which I for one find interesting, so don't stop with your observations.

I've seen no bad attitudes to women or non-straights. It's perfectly acceptable to debate immigration - Gordon Brown tried to say it was bigoted, and he was rightly shot down in flames.
