Match Preview;
This Wednesday we welcome the division's joint top form side to the Kiyan Prince...Barnsley have won their last five, after drawing two. They last lost to Watford on the 19th of January. Amongst this league run, there was also a victory of league leaders Norwich in the cup. Their top scorer is Cauley Woodrow
with 10 league goals so far this year. In Valérien Ismaël they seem to have a good, young manager, who has had a lot of experience across Europe.
After a decent run, we have now lost our last game, and we drew the game before that. This leaves us 17th, and barring any miracle/disastrous run, heading toward an uneventful end to the season. Can't argue with that. Given the constraints we are under, realistically we were never going to do much more this year.
Team news
QPR: Luke Amos and Charlie Owens are sidelined with long-term knee injuries. Jordy de Wijs is edging closer to full fitness.
Barnsley: Conor Chaplin, Carlton Morris and Daryl Dike will be looking to push for returns this evening.
Pre-match talk
QPR manager Mark Warburton: "Tonight will be another tough game for us. To ensure we get the result we want we have to do both sides of the game well, against a very good side.”
Barnsley manager Valerin Ismael: “QPR is a big opponent and we know it is going to be another tough game for us. When we played them at Oakwell they lost a man in the first half so it is not going to be this simple, we have to remain focused in London.”
