https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...lves-defender-Dion-Sanderson-permanently.html I cant see this being possible. Wolves gave him a new long term contract last year just before he came to us because they rate him so highly. I had a snoop on the Wolves forums earlier and alot of their fans think he'll be getting games for them next season. We're just not at a high enough level yet.
I think it's safe to say we'd have to be in the championship to even have a chance of a permanent. Definitely a long shot but with Wolves struggling a bit I'm not convinced he'd be getting games for them and at 21 I think they'd consider selling him, every club has to do it after all. They concede a fair few and I'd guess if anything they'll be looking to sign proven premier league quality to make sure they stay up next season.
Another loan is the best we could hope for if we don't go up. Even then there will be established championship clubs sniffing around for him.
Yeah thats what alot of their fans were saying that they need to buy a top rated experienced CB. They have another CB on loan aswell abroad whos a year older than Sanderson and he's also doing well at his club. They said theyd like to see Sanderson get some game time for them next year but only as backup. We could offer him more than that, but we really would have to get promoted this year. They nearly signed Dias last year apparently for half of what he's worth, before City came in and thats all they kept winging about lol.
The fact Wolves were getting pished off a few months ago that he wasnt playing much just goes to show that they are keen on him progressing and potentially breaking into their team im the future. He signed a long term deal for them back in October. I still honestly cant believe Parkinson had him as 4th choice CB behind Flanagan ffs
Yeah that would be our best bet i think, extending his loan for another year IF we get promoted. Wolves will want him at a higher level next year.
Whatever the case it shows that we're suddenly being reported in the national media, and that we're aiming high ... ... all kinds of agents will be on Google Maps looking for Sunderland.
I think it’s plausible if we go up. When he signed it was clear from his talk that the status of the club attracted him below Championship. He’s very good but he’s not gonna realistically play right now, or even next season in Wolves side. I wouldn’t rule it out.
Sanderson himself said that he had no intention of going back to Wolves. Keep playing him, get promoted and I am hopeful that he's ours.
No chance of a permanent and can’t see them wanting to loan him back to us with the lack of game time he’s had this season by two different managers. Wouldn’t blame them either in all honesty.
And with a new catering contract which includes buckets of that blue fizzy drink, he knows which side his baguette is Echire isigny Salted
Sanderson may lead us down the same path Coventry took last season: Lose Willis. Go directly to the Championship.
