Klopp has done an incredible job, no argument there. I’ve said for beards that your owners are the luckiest in World football. They made one outstanding decision, and he’s done the rest, largely with self generated cash (excluding the doubled wage bill).

I’m sure if he’s given the right backing he could build another top side, my point was merely that this one is on the downslope and is going to need a fair bit of change in the next 12 months or so, to get back to where you where in the 2 years of its absolute prime.
I agree
I would say three years of prime
It was not Klopps fault they went toe to toe with one of Peps best sides and the title was decided by literally 30mm
Amazing season that

find it strange that someone like yourself would believe owners could be luckiest but each to their own opinion

I trust our structure at the club and feel confident we will eventually turn it around

for all the laughs people are having we have won pots - believe it or not - not many clubs are winning pots in this country such is cities recent dominance

so to be the team that broke that makes me happy
Just like Burnley will be happy they stopped our home record run
Each to their own

your happy with how Everton are doing and quite rightly so.
Should be a good game next week :)

If we put 6 wins together we'd be pushing for 2nd, another two loses and we are firmly mid table. It is what it is.

It's going to be a long hard season.

Glad your back

No we won't. Its 10 wins from 14 now just to get 4th. Forget 2nd forget 3rd imo.

If we can't break this stupidity and get bodies in the box more and be stronger in.midfield imo 8th is most likely outcome.

So nobody else can go on a ****ty run but us, only we can struggle. Good to know.

Might as well pack in really

Not sure that will be right this season
It’s a proper weird one

I hope we win 10/14
:)
But not sure it will need that
Have to see how the other results go

Of course thats the dream.

But that Idea died. Citeh killed it

Time to live in the real world, where States own football clubs.

Chelsea before Man City? Blackburn before them? Leeds tried it but massively failed. Many others too.

If they'd been allowed, Hicks & Gillette would have attempted it too and we'd have ended up following the Leeds route.

I'd prefer option one btw

^this
Like I say we have built and won the so called big pots
I reckon we can go again :)

This season's gone. It's a case of getting what we can from it and going again next season.

Oh ****, have I just gone back to "next season is ours"... <laugh>
Point I'm making is about next season.

Owners have to show some intent for next season. They've got to react to this ****show in the summer.

If they don't....

At a quick guess we are looking at a minimum of £100m drop in revenue so as i said earlier doubt we will see massive transfers . Some moving on of people like AOC and replacement with players who could stay fit and are decent would help .

And this is where the point about the intention of the owners comes in.

Are they going to stick rigidly to 'self funding', in which case I can't see us winning anything next season either purely based on the fact that clubs like Citeh and Chelsea will spend and we will have to sell to buy.
Or are they going to see the mess this season has been and show some intent and use some of their own money.

Its clear that because of Covid Self-funding will mean standing still this summer as there has been no profits this season.

if we don't make a loss that will be much better than slew of clubs .

Looking on the bright side.........at least Ali didn't put Kabak out for the rest of the season <laugh>

I honestly wouldn't have been surprised.

Or both of them out for the remainder?

think it was that top 10 clubs in Europe lost a combined 1.2b in revenue the last year.

would be very surprised if we splash out anything more than 50m net spend

I have to say that this was 1 or 2 points squandered unnecessarily.

Just like against City we were 1-1 when Allison had his brainstorm. Against City, who knows we could well have conceded another goal as we were hardly creating chances. Here we had been attacking and could have retrieved the situation. Allison have lost us one point, potentially 3 points. He’s become accident prone. Will he play the next match? I think he probably needs a rest. Our no 2 GK is good enough to cover.
