Please point out a post where you've been accused of not being a proper fan, asking for myself.

Just go look in nearly every single match thread this season. You won't have to look too hard, I certainly can't be arsed to reread that ****e.

Anyone, not just me, a few on here, who have been even the slightest bit critical of the side apparently are, according to one or two others, are people who take glee in whenever we don't do well, and want us to fail at every opportunity.

Have you ever taken a second to think that it's how you come across in your post and that your delivery of the points you ( often correct ) make you look that way? One think I had to learn very quickly when moving from the world of football and into the cooperate world, Is that how you deliver opinions, points and discussions is key to the image people have of you.

It isn't just me who gets it though, so don't just pin it all on me. Anyone who has had criticism has been given the same treatment, regardless of how they worded it.

While we may disagree often, you're not the one who says that 'proper fans' rubbish anyway, it's others.

The next 6 games Doncaster play will literally shape their season... really difficult set of fixtures for them, let’s see where they are after those.
3 wins, a draw and 2 loses..10 points after those would be a good return.
Actually the 7th game is against Ipswich... Jesus that’s some set of games for them...and the 8th game is Portsmouth...

Your last sentence is true Howden but we are a football supporters forum and I don't think anyone of us want City to lose.

If that's the case it shouldn't be too difficult for you to find the plethora of posts using the words "you're not a proper fan", that said just one will do.

There aren't posts that say that, but there's lots of posts aimed at Quill, claiming he wants us to lose, has only been supporting City for five minutes etc.

Any advance on eight <laugh>

Not a good weekend but here's the update.

City average 1.85 points a game which historically is good enough to finish 3rd.

Points per game table:
1st - Doncaster - 2.09
2nd - Lincoln - 2.04
3rd - Hull City - 1.85
4th - Peterborough - 1.84
5th - Portsmouth - 1.80
6th - Accrington - 1.78

Actual table:
1st - Lincoln - 51pts
2nd - Hull City - 48pts
3rd - Doncaster - 48pts
4th - Peterborough - 46pts
5th - Portsmouth - 45pts
6th - Charlton - 43pts

Looking back over the past 15 seasons this is what we need from out remaining 20 games to finish:
1st - 15 wins, 2 draws
2nd - 13 wins, 1 draw
Play-offs - 8 wins, 2 draws

After last Saturday almost impossible to predict how we'll fare for the rest of the season, but I'll say we'll finish 5th or 6th on 80 points and finish up in the lottery of the play-offs. Auto still possible fingers crossed!

I do think the way they are pushing games through this season that auto's will be achieved with a lower points score .. whether we will achieve that remains to be seen but given our recent form I can see us falling short. Fraid I have no faith whatsoever in our managers ability .. all season I repeat we are were we are in spite of him not because of him .. for me personally he is like an anchor slowing us down

Following the Lincoln draw...

City average 1.81 points a game which historically is good enough to finish 4th.

Points per game table:
1st - Lincoln - 2.04
2nd - Doncaster - 2.00
3rd - Peterborough - 1.88
4th - Portsmouth - 1.85
5th - Hull City - 1.81
6th - Accrington - 1.71

Actual table:
1st - Lincoln - 52pts
2nd - Hull City - 49pts
3rd - Peterborough - 49pts
4th - Portsmouth - 48pts
5th - Doncaster - 48pts
6th - Charlton - 43pts

Looking back over the past 15 seasons this is what we need from out remaining 19 games to finish:
1st - 15 wins, 1 draw
2nd - 13 wins
Play-offs - 8 wins, 1 draw

These are generally rubbish as normally calculated by points scored by team finishing in 1st over 15 seasons added together and then divided by 15 and then by 46. To finish 1st though you just need one more in the GD column than the team below you.

Someone finishing 15 points clear skews the data

So now the cup dream is dead and we're left to concentrate on the league I thought I'd chuck out some stats to track how we're doing.

Based on the last 15 seasons the average points per game needed to finish:
1st - 2.07
2nd - 1.92
3rd - 1.84
4th - 1.77
5th - 1.71
6th - 1.61

City are currently averaging 1.92 points a game which is good news. But...

Table on points per game:
1st - Doncaster - 2.05
2nd - Lincoln - 2.00
3rd - Hull City - 1.92
4th - Portsmouth - 1.83
5th - Accrington - 1.82
6th - Peterborough - 1.79

Actual Table:
1st - Hull City - 48 pts
2nd - Lincoln - 48 pts
3rd - Doncaster - 45 pts
4th - Portsmouth - 44 pts
5th - Peterborough - 43 pts
6th - Sunderland - 40 pts

Following the MK Dons ****show...

City average 1.75 points a game which historically is good enough to finish 5th.

Points per game table:
1st - Lincoln - 1.96
2nd - Doncaster - 1.92
3rd - Peterborough - 1.88
4th - Portsmouth - 1.85
5th - Hull City - 1.75
6th - Accrington - 1.68

Actual table:
1st - Lincoln - 53pts
2nd - Hull City - 49pts
3rd - Peterborough - 49pts
4th - Portsmouth - 48pts
5th - Doncaster - 48pts
6th - Sunderland - 44pts

Looking back over the past 15 seasons this is what we need from out remaining 18 games to finish:
1st - 15 wins, 1 draw
2nd - 13 wins
Play-offs - 8 wins, 1 draw

If the second half of this season mirrors last season, we'll stay in the division at best.

My money is on the play offs though would love to be proved wrong and we nick into the auto spots.

With the squad Terry has at his disposal, any thing short of promotion is failure in my book.

Despite the recent results & performances, I still think we’ll go up automatically. Don’t know when, but I think in the coming games we’ll start to put a run together. I’ve voted for a Wigan win, but I’m confident we will actually beat Wigan comfortably.

Should have had a bet on it!<cheers>
