That was the same with me with the Pfizer vaccine. A bit of a sore arm overnight, but woke up the following morning and felt great. Guess it must be the Oxford one that makes you feel groggy. As Janey says though, it's worth it.
Some very interesting observations on here.

Suppose it could depend on a variety of factors as well. I'm a youngster so perhaps less likely to get side effects than people of an older age?
I had choice of Oxford one too but went for Pfizer due to convenience, think they showed better results too iirc.
I had the novavax vaccine on the trial. Absolutely no effects from the first jab, but mild fever and aches and pains from the second jab for about 36 hours, which is what makes me think I had the vaccine and not daline solution.
My mother had her 1st pfizer jab at Stanley and she had a headache for a day or so, as did a mate of mine.

My sister was on the Oxford trial. Found out today that she actually had the covid jab rather than the placebo.
No side effects at all. She’s round a friend’s tonight drinking something bubbly.
Me and my Mrs should be getting the jab in the next two weeks.

Same as I had last Friday. Arm was a little warm and sore during the night, but apart from that no other side effects - thank goodness. Hubby had his week before and had a slight headache the next morning (although he did admit it could have been more wine related!)

My dad (85) has had his 2 Pfizer jabs, no side effects at all.

thought I would have had a nod by now, Im 56,take immune suppressing meds and have asthma and diabetes, fall under the clinically vulnerable umbrella, still working in key worker job and not from home either...not a whisper yet.
Hope you get yours soon mate.. I'm 60, but have no diagnosed history of medical issues so happy to let more needy people go before me.

Shame they can't give people a lateral flow antibody test when they have their first jab, then they could maybe correlate if those having the worse side-effects have previously had Covid-19.

It's not the only thing to come from Oxford that makes Sunderland supporters sick
Here in the UAE everyone can access the vaccine, nearly all Hospitals are giving the vaccine and the health authority actually came to our workplace .....that s when I got mine. They have took this virus extremely serious over here and consequently have had a lot fewer cases than most countries (per capita ) My only concern is the vaccine being used is Chinese and i'm sure that all the data has been released on it....but better than nothing I guess.
This is all heartening and everyone involved seems to be putting everything behind it.
