Me mam and people she knows, late 70’s early 80’s had theirs just before/after Christmas and none had any side effects.
Through work we started getting ours this week. 5 who had theirs on Tuesday were flawed on Wednesday, couldn’t get out of bed, temperature, shakes, headaches, shivering, aches.
Had mine yesterday and wasn’t that bad but during the night I was hot and cold and shivery and so so thirsty.
Been totally out of sorts today with a banging headache, just feel like I’m coming round now.
It’s totally worth it, so I’m not complaining, just that until this week I’d not heard of anyone with side effects.

Just thought it was worth posting about so people can share their reactions after being jabbed

which one did you have Janey?

I was ill for 2 days after the Oxford vaccine as were loads of my colleagues. Felt as bad as I did the first day of covid but I'd do it all again as its so important.

I know loads that had the Pfizer vaccine and no side effects so it just seems to be the Oxford.
Totally agree, it’s worth it, and I’m grateful Ive had it.
I genuinely hadn’t heard of anyone having side effects until this week.
I was like, typical, trust me to be having mine on a Friday, I don’t even get a day off if I’m rough :emoticon-0140-rofl:

I’m off for mine in the morning at 8.30. I have spoken to friends who have had similar after issues as yourself Janey although I’m not sure which jab they had. I will report back . Hope you get well soon.
Thank you, I don’t think I’ve had it as bad as others, just felt like a really bad hangover today.
Paracetamol as a tip for you, is meant to help. I took two as soon as I got home x

count yourselves lucky here in Germany they only ordered the vaccines last week ,and about 6 months before they roll it out to the general population, even then its a lottery, POLITICIANS police PRISONERS, MIGRANTS first then the paying public.
Oh don’t get me wrong, I do think I’m very lucky, especially as I’m only 57, and many of my colleagues much younger xx

I will put up with whatever minor inconveniences comes my way after the vaccine. As someone who has a compromised immune system and has been shielding for what seems like an eternity it has to be worth it. Just don’t want Covid.

Hopefully you are one of the lucky ones that doesn't get any side effects but make sure you don't need to do anything for a couple of days after and have plenty of paracetamol ready!

Exactly, a couple of days feeling rough, compared to the alternative, it’s just a no brainier x

I was supposed to be going to Guisborough today to me sister and nieces grave with me Mam, to clear up the tat I take at Christmas.
I probably could have done it, but it wouldn’t have been sensible, and me mam was insistent it wouldn’t happen, she was right I slept most of the afternoon
