Bright,
Why didn’t you go to Bruges then? The club would have had £5m, you would have been playing Champions League football and on the terms you feel you are worth. In the clubs current financial position the difference between the two transfer sums is huge and it would have enabled us to have some fresh talent that wanted to be here.
It seems to me Bright that you do only see things from your perspective and have behaved accordingly which may I say is vastly different from the route taken by Eberechi Eze who outstrips you hugely in terms of class both as a footballer and as a person.
Finally Bright, it was interesting to see that the mighty Fenerbahce wanted to swap you for disregarded players rather than stump up a few measly quid. Says a lot about where you going.
Best wishes in your new career.

Maybe he didn’t like Bruges as a place or didn’t like what the club had to say about his role. Maybe the signing-on fee on offer was crap. Loads of reasons to not go just because it would’ve benefited us.

Obviously Fenerbache were going to try and do the deal on the cheap. It doesn’t mean they value him at that. It means they know they had the upper hand given we weren’t going to play him and would be paying out six figures in wages over the remainder of his contract.

Is there one you’d prefer as a wealthy, locally famous 23 year-old? Think I’d go for Turkish women over Belgian but maybe Kiwi can provide a selection to choose from.
Istanbul is certainly going to be more exciting, though the Erdogan killjoy element seems to be growing in Turkey, might not be as much fun as a few years ago. It’s funky, I’ve been a couple of times, loved it.
The brilliant film In Bruges gives a very good picture of Bruges. I guarantee you will enjoy the film if you haven’t seen it. It contains many great lines including ‘you’re an inanimate ****ing object’ and ‘You have the capacity to change Harry. You have the capacity to get worse’.
But it’s a long weekend visit. On the other hand really quick to get to Brussels, Amsterdam and Paris.
