Don’t want them back thanks. The 30k hardcore lot who go now are all we need.
I couldn’t disagree more mate. We can’t expect an outsider to come in and spend a fortune and our ‘pissed off with years of ****e’ fans not bother returning. I’m the only one left out of a dozen of us that had season tickets when the SoL opened and I’d like nowt better than for them to be tempted back by a half decent team.

I gave up my ST when MON was appointed (IMO the worst appointment we could’ve made at the time and IMO as bad as Wilko).
I was just about to get a ST again, but England came in for Big Sam.
I will renew when we have a team that’s not getting hammered every week in the PL.

It could be a while.

Digressing slightly, but I watched the Chelsea game earlier and apparently Luton came out after half time around 5 mins late because the clock in the changing room at the Chelsea spa health center place where they had to be was incorrect. Now, we can all have shiney new stadiums and academy's and stuff but for a premier league team live on tv that seems very amature to me. That was one of the things that I was impressed with when Johnson came in when he pointed that out about replacing the batteries in some of our clocks that were broken.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that there is a bit more to it than saying "my stadium is bigger than your stadium" :emoticon-0102-bigsm
Think someone is talking about size of stadium, is the OP a skunk?

If things are right on the pitch and somehow we manage to do what Leicester have done and sustain it. We would defo fill 66,000 playing top teams every week and challenging for trophies.
There are a few club in the country that could do that, however I believe we are one of them the knars
Until we loose 3 in a row and the tickle twats will be off, I'm quite happy with the hard-core we have who hurt when we loose not change their colours. A mag in a Sunderland shirt will still stink of ****.
Any one that calls themselves a fan but will only turn up coz we're playing Man City can kiss my arse

Our catchment area covers the city, county Durham and South Tyneside which around 700,000 people. Not all of the people will support the club, but that is our main catchment area. we obviously have a lot of fans from outside the main catchment area as well though.

Sunderland has magnificent support whatever the case ...

... half of the area, in a circle from the ground, is the sea.

Given the SOL capacity was initially 20,000 bigger than Roker Park, were fans sceptical that we couldn't fill it?
