In Hartlepool their are more plastic Mags who have never/rarely ever been to games (most of which strangely appeared around the early-mid 90's) but you get more Sunderland than Newcastle fans regularly going to games. Couldn't tell you about the scumbag ****hole Darlington.
I have to admit that since I moved down here, I see more plastic fans than anywhere else - Liverpool, Man U as well as mags. You think they didn't have a football team in their doorstep
It's phenomenal how many Liverpool and Man U 'fans' their are here. When I went to school you would quite often get asked Liverpool or Man U, who do you support? Not many would expect my reply of Sunderland and Pools as I'd go to quite a few Pools games, especially as they were always at home when Sunderland were away. I've grown a massive dislike of Liverpool as a result of all the plastics around here. Out of all my mates their is a ridiculous amount 'support' Liverpool, they never really like it when I tell them they don't support them, they follow them on tele.
