Steve Hitchen was seen in the stands of this evening's Norwich vs Bristol City match

While it could simply be him checking up on Skippy, it's hard not to wonder if he's also taking a look at one or more of Max Aarons, Todd Cantwell, and/or Emi Buendia

So try to act surprised when we make surprise bids for Ben Gibson and Alfie Mawson...

Do we loan him back to them again next season if they go up or bring him back, where he'll probably get less games?

Bring him back, surely? Højbjerg is already looking overplayed and we’ll have to balance his game time somehow. I have no doubt that Skippy will get plenty of game time if he keeps this up.

Plenty of games where he could play instead of PEH and no doubt a few they could play together as well.

I'd be tempted to bring someone experienced in as cover, either on loan or a short-term deal and let Skipp get Premier League experience.
He's doing very well with Norwich and I'm not sure how different his situation would be from this season.
Might all depend on what the manager thinks of the rest of our squad and the available options, of course.

One thing I suggested a few days ago was a cash + Doherty swap for Aarons

With Hitchen taking a look at Norwich tonight, can I ask the club for a finder's fee if we do that?

100% bring him back

You need two good players in every position of you want to challenge. Hojbjerg has been good since he’s arrived but he needs competition and also a rest.

I think when considering the amount of football Sissoko and Winks have played between them this season, Skipp could definitely come back and play a lot of football here next season. His return should signal the end for at least one of those too, if not both depending on any potential additions we may make.

Doesn't necessarily need to be Hojbjerg OR Skipp either, lot of games you could use both in. Skipp isn't in the typical DM style of just being a tackler, he's got a decent passing range and is generally progressive with it too.

Lots of football still to be played. I don't think we'll be able to answer that question until the end of the season. It'll be interesting to see how he copes at the squeaky bum end of the season if (when) Norwich are still pushing for promotion and the pressure is ramped up.

I mean at the end of this season. Even if they go up and want to keep him, I’d bring him back to compete for a starting spot
If they do come up it might be worth considering who they might give minutes to next season. For example, Tanganga needs a run of games under his belt and, unless he replaces Sanchez in the pecking order, Norwich would be a good place for him to get regular minutes for a season

Parrott could be another candidate for some football, as long as they promise not to break him almost as soon as he arrives...

Nikola Milenkovic :emoticon-0168-drink
Sven Botman

Milenkovic...well there's a reason why you can take a drink given how often his name has cropped up in the last couple of years, and it's increased in regularity in the last couple of months, so there's no need to go over them again

Botman, well, that's a new one, so here's the relevant bulletpoints
* Product of Ajax's academy, although he never broke through as he moved to Heerenveen
* Turned 21 last week
* Joined Lille last summer on a five-year contract, so won't be cheap
* Has height and physical presence, and has the aerial proficiency that goes with it
* Can play out from the back, as he's got both the ball control and passing to do that
* Luis Campos went all out to get him last summer

Let's be honest, though, Botman would immediately go into our top two of most expensive transfers if we were to sign him, so if there's anything to this it probably breaks down as Botman being the player we push the boat out for if we have the CL windfall, while Milenkovic will be the one we sign if we fall short and have to revise down our spending
