There’s a place in Covent Garden called the Tea House, little shop specialising in teas from around the world. Also sells teapots and cups, strainers, tea cosies etc.

Really hope it’s not one of those retail businesses that goes under thanks to these endless ****ing lockdowns.

It’s just northern tourists demanding pie and chips.

SoPie in Gloucester if we’re doing a map of good pie shops. More the hipster variety than your jellied eels knees up mother brown pie shop but good pies nonetheless.

Dunno about the chips. Very hard to find pie and mash in London now though. Have to go a long way East or South for that.

The greasy spoons where I grew up (Lewisham) would always serve pie n mash. Remember seeing live eels in buckets at Lewisham and Woolwich markets as a kid too.

There was a trendy exotic pie shop in Gabriel’s Wharf on the Southbank; Bouef Bougignon pie with mash and red wine gravy; chicken madras pie, chilli con carne etc. Think it closed down though.

The chicken madras was pretty damn good.

Used to be a 'restaurant' in Bakers St called School Dinners, where kinky businessmen and politicians could go and eat sausage n chips, spotted dick etc. Whilst the waitresses were dressed up in school girl uniforms and would sit on their knee and spoon feed them.

Dirty old ****s <laugh>

Think I remember reading about that place. I bet Boris Johnson would be a regular if they ever reopened

The place probably made most of its income off the back of shady tory politicians going in there for some jam roly poly and being told off for not eating their greens.
