One of my aunts (sadly departed) was Dutch ... she absolutely loved roll mop herrings ... couldn't even bring myself to try ... and I'll try most things once ...

Third page without a Sucky post.

Must have committed suicide.

RIP Ryan Betaman.

Was just wondering where Sucky had got to.

Not seen since that Fosse-esque drunken essay on friday night.

Probs needs a shout on the missing persons thread.

Used to be a 'restaurant' in Bakers St called School Dinners, where kinky businessmen and politicians could go and eat sausage n chips, spotted dick etc. Whilst the waitresses were dressed up in school girl uniforms and would sit on their knee and spoon feed them.

Dirty old ****s <laugh>

don’t knock what you haven’t tried :)

Anyway on the Tea issue.

Coffee in the morning for me. Proper Coffee made in an espresso machine with frothed/conditioned milk

And a couple of squares of dark chocolate to go with @Chief will know <ok>

The drink, not the evening meal.

Or with coffee.

Which is the perfect drink and biscuit combo?

I just opened these as a snack. So easy to see what I pick at first. Will scran the rest tomorrow with my coffee.

Best coffee I have is from a French stove top pot.

It's absolutely superb coffee from that. Use Lavazza coffee. It makes two espresso or one decent size Americano.

We've got a Gaggia machine but she uses that mainly for her one daily coffee, prefer one form the pot.

Have a one man Bodum for work. Not till after two cups of PG Tips in the morning though.

Can't drink instant, it's ****ing horrible nasty ****. Nescafe and the like, headache inducing, awful ****e.

The new style Barista style granules aren't quite so bad, if in a hurry.

Red Bush tea is decent too. Prefer that to green tea.

I'm not knocking it

From memory they didn’t sit on your lap and feed you - there was a lot of tomfoolery and hankypanky if I recall.
the best place was City Circle or Titty Circle as the waitresses were topless. The food was good but the afters was the best.

the City Circle is now a Hawksmoor restaurant and went there recently with Mrs G4E and had told her about some of the escapades that went on - didn’t tell her all as I’m not stupid

The missus loves Rooibos too. She drinks gallons of the stuff

Those Stove top coffee pots are great. I use one when I'm travelling or camping.

Drinking a coffee called Yallah at the moment. Couple of local lads set the company up a few years ago and have done really well for themselves. They roast all of the coffee down here. Their workshop smells like Heaven <ok>
