I’m very glad I missed that. The sad part is that Man U will claim the moral victory and Ole will now be secure in his job to serve up another half season of complete dross.

If we don’t like utd, isn’t that good news?

As it happens, I’ve been saying fir. A whole that he’s slowly getting right there. Not rip-roaring football but effective. I still think on the day, they were the only team that outplayed us for nearly all the game. They’re not pretty, but they’re are going to challenge.

I don’t want United to do well, but with the quality of players they have, they should be playing the kind of mesmerising football that City and Liverpool (and us) can offer when at their best. I would rather they were **** though.

That doesn’t happen over night though Chilcs. They’ve had Moyes, Van Gaal and Jose over 7 years. You can’t flick a switch to change the mentality of the club and playing style. I’m just saying that I think Ole is making progress and if we take today’s game, a draw suits them more than Liverpool.

Fair comment. As I said, I didn’t see the game, and I was just going by the comments on here. You’re right of course about it taking time, the longer the better really!

I still just about dislike Liverpool more, due to their fans incorrigible sense of entitlement and whinging. But it's a close call (I'm not saying MU fans are in any way good, but they have lost that sense of feeling like they need to be treated as special).
