Terriers midfielder Alex Pritchard has been the subject of transfer speculation this month with reports linking him with a move to Queens Park Rangers.
That would mean a reunion with his former boss Mark Warburton, who managed him at Brentford in the most productive season of Pritchard’s career to date back in 2014/15.
But his current boss
Carlos Corberan insists that as it stands Pritchard will be treated the same as any other
Huddersfield Town player and that he was happy with the midfielder’s contribution when fit earlier this season.
Town could do with a playmaker type after Ajax loanee Carel Eiting suffered a potentially season-ending knee injury, and it has been reported that a transfer move to bring back Terriers academy graduate
Duane Holmes from Derby County could be in the offing.

SOME NEWS FROM TOWN
A fully-fit Pritchard would certainly be the kind of creative midfielder Town need in Eiting’s absence – he had looked good in that role against Nottingham Forest and Millwall back in October.
But there would be sense in allowing Pritchard to leave before the end of the January transfer window and securing a longer-term replacement if such a pair of deals could be done.
A number of Town’s squad players will be out on contract in the summer as it stands, and we understand the Terriers would be willing to consider selling one or two now if it allowed them to strengthen the first eleven for the second half of this season and beyond.

Ben Hamer was one such player before his departure to Swansea City, and Pritchard’s deal with the club is also set to conclude at the end of this season.

Corberan would not be drawn on such two-plus-two speculation, but did confirm that Pritchard will not be part of the squad to face Watford on Saturday afternoon despite returning to training this week after an injury.
Corberan said: "We are working with the players that are here at the club and he is one of the players that’s working here with us.

Predicted lineup to face Watford
“Unfortunately he’s had some problems during the year and that’s why he’s not had the minutes he could have.
“In the minutes he was with the team he helped in terms of his effort and in terms of adapting to the ideas and we were happy with the performance he was showing.
“We just need to be a bit cautious with his [injury] situation because we don’t want to miss any more players in the next weeks
