BOS should be hung out to dry and up for sale to any interested bidder. His contractual arrangements with the Turks are his problem. QPR owe them no favours. After all I'm sure they had some part in persuading him to keep schtum about the deal they reached with him. They've saved themselves £8 million or whatever it was. Whether he goes there as a tub of lard is up to him. I''m not sure he has the self-discipline to keep himself fit but I';ll bet they have a get-out clause If we cannot get an interested buyer or he refuses to go, he can be sacked without notice or payment and then live off the money the Turks promised him for this year. Playing him with the kids sounds good but do you really want someone like that influencing them by the example he has set?

He’s a popular player in the group. If we can give someone else a chance then good but there’s not a lot to gain by treating Bright like ****.

What if there’s a glut of injuries when we’re playing four times a week to catch up with a load of postponed games and we need him?

Best for everyone if we get a bit of cash now and he goes but if not he’s handed in a six month notice and deserves some respect for his time as a QPR player IMO.

It’s a difficult situation isn’t it. MW set out his parameters and BOS doesn’t fit in his team anymore based on those parameters. The club does seem to have held out in the hope of a deal, it seems BOS never had any intention of re-signing.

So now we are left with a player who’s head is in another club and looking towards another season. The whole pre-contract scenario is flawed and ridiculous - if you sign such a deal it’s unlikely you are going to put yourself at risk for the rest of your current contract - so the club you are currently contracted to loses out two-fold (uncommitted player you are paying wages to; minimal fee return). A player needs to be able to find another contract, but whether they should be allowed to do so while currently contracted seems debatable; but the player could still do a deal behind the scenes and not tell the club anyway. All very messy.

All we can hope is we can agree deal with Fenerbahce so he can leave immediately then we can get someone in or use what we have and find a replacement through the summer.

We don't know that BOS won't give his best for us until end of the season. He looks like he enjoys playing to me, and that he's moving on at the end of the season may well make no difference to him the next few months. Every season these days many players move on at the end of a season, due to their contracts coming to an end and the Club looking to cut wages. They know they are likely to be moving on months in advance, but most of them if not all, go on doing their best.

Feel like this is a myth that’s gained momentum because he hasn’t single-handedly destroyed teams every week. He’s the one player we have that every opposition worries about and set up to stop
He has often been double marked, giving more room for Chair too.

It is a worrying situation, as the ethos of the team really demands we dont play him.

The best sceanario, is that Ferenbache take him now. Gives us enough money to replace him...and take his salary on

That is usually because those players are playing to find new clubs/contracts.

BOS has already found his and won’t want to be injured before he joins them.

I'll confess that my first reaction wasn't as moderated. Think I muttered something about running him into the ground.

In reality, we won't win them all and if we want to keep attracting players we need to show them we treat people well, even when that's painful for us. Players wanting to join us should be impressed that we've developed a player to the point he's probably getting CL football next season. It's then our job to look after our own interests and get a proper fee next time, not BOS' or future players.

The flip side to all of this is also that we're not going to overpay anyone just to get them to sign a deal - we made our best offer and have been willing to walk away if the player won't accept that. That's still painful, but it's the right way to run the club.

But no player wants to get injured, whatever their contract situation. Giving only 80% could leave you more at risk of injury in some playing situations. I dont know how tied down BOS is in his pre-contract. A lot can happen in 4 or 5 months that may generate more interest in him if he plays very well, or if he doesnt play, or plays poorly, it could impact negatively the start of his time in Turkey. I'm not convinced that BOS sorting out his future necessarily means he won't be effective for us.

It’s a more viable option without fans. Under normal circumstances it would be a bit toxic at the ground with middle-aged fat blokes calling him a “faaaacking lazy ****” every time he didn’t beat five men and smash one in the top corner.

I read a list of what someone had somehow worked up showing what each of our players were paid, based on total wages reported and no doubt lots of speculation. It was probably b*ll*cks, but BOS was surprisingly low compared to others on that.

I think Manning and BOS should have clearly taught those running our club that players entering the final year of contracts expressly know that if they don't re-sign they are automatically out of the squad. This has done us no good at all, BOS has been hit & miss for much of this season and just as we are looking upwards with Charlie's return we are knocked back by this.

Much as we'd like him giving his all for the remainder the way he has conducted himself and his total disregard for the efforts our club put in to develop his talent makes his position untenable. If we turn a blind eye to this any up and coming player will have a pretty poor example to follow...

Additionally, mybe it is up to those that run the club to put an offer in front of the players that is attractive. Maybe not just in basic salary but in perfomance incentives ether goal bonus, assist bonus etc.

The club made him an offer and he turned it down,we can only assume that the terms were a increase on the last one, obviously he was offered better terms to play his football in turkey, gone is the time when we spunked masses of cash on new contracts, our better players are always going to move on to where the money is,that's just par for the course.
