Agree, as I said on the Dobson thread, we have signed a load of players who have never played at a higher level and wonder why we've ended up a mid-table division 3 team. All Donald’s fault for not using the parachute payment to strengthen the team for immediate promotion..

I think Dobson has been given the nod but has turned down a few offers. They know what side their bread is buttered and won't be pushing for promotion or to leave. We are goosed under Donald's tenurship

I've had many a disagreement on here with people who didn't agree that he's a quality player, headless chicken and so on.

I don't remember being backed up by as many people as who now apparently knew all along he was mint but hey ho.

Never thought he was great, ever. Still don't, but he wasn't one of our worse players.

I am happy that he has found his feet, the Championship must suit him, but he was a player we couldn't afford to have on our books in L1 - especially as he never really fitted under Parkey and his style of play.

I don't remember seeing too many people radging about him being rubbish - though there were so many posts about different players being crap that I tended to scoot past. Mostly because I always thought that our main problem was our manager. Dross and Parkie had a way of clartsing up any player's ability to shine. Except for Grigg, and he appears to be an unpolishable dud anyway.

LJ has done more to chivvy us up and that is really showing up which players lack quality so I might take more notice of debates about player ability because they are meaningful at long last.

I believe Watmore would have had more opportunity to shine here now, but I wouldn't have him back.

You wouldn't have Watmore back now he's fit and banging them in for a top ten championship side, at a time we're desperately struggling for goals in league one? Not sure about your logic there.

How long do you think he would last playing in L1 before he was badly crocked again?

When we do go up, I would like us to have been building for the future, bringing through the next generation of Watmores and buying other young, talented players.

If he's playing in the championship he can play in league one. Very little difference other than attacking quality.

Not between league one and the championship there isn't, minimal improvement at best. The championship is as physical a league as league one.
