I enjoy watching swift counter attacking football when we can do it well...more so than knocking it about sideways with 75% possession bragging rights and zero end product.
Tonight we didn’t park the bus...bus parking teams don’t have 15 shots at goal. We had phases between attacking and being camped back due to our failure to break between their lines...we are not the Harlem Globe trotters
If we had to play like Burnley or Stoke, because we were going to struggle to score enough goals to win games, I'd get behind it. However, we have some incredible attacking talent and should be running most teams ragged.
If you play defensive football most of the time and can't win games against teams like Fulham or Palace with Kane, Son, Bale, Dele, Bergwijn, Vinicius, Moura and Lamela available to you, you need to be expecting to clear your desk sooner rather than later.
Choosing to lead with our defence, when every one of them has a regular mistake in them, is a dereliction of duty.

If I was someone who had been going for years every time I could get a ticket then I would happily keep on going...I would have enjoyed some great victories this season already and we are still in all comps.
I remember many pissed off nights after dominating the ball 75% and coming away with a draw...for me, losing but playing well has always left the same ****ty feeling as any other type of loss
I'll answer that...No.
I can't bear watching us anymore. It was bad enough under Poch for the final year of his reign but it's so much worse now. It really is the return to TBITC whilst having a team that manager could only dream of.
Is there anyone who believes that we'd be worse off under Hassenhuttl, who we should have appointed?

I honestly wouldn`t be bothered if he was sacked tomorrow, the football is awful, every team we face in the PL dominate us, the same will happen away at Sheffield United. Most of us saw the team sheet and expected more of the same, and we certainly got it. We make the same mistakes over and over again, the players are being coached to be defensively solid, they are afraid to wander out of position or take any risks, and our excellent attacking players are having it coached out of them in favour of a defend first mindset.
But we're not winning. We're playing **** football and giving up points for fun against teams that we had beating of, until we dropped back and relied upon our defenders to see us through.
He's flogging our better players into the ground to ever diminishing effect. Last January, he had the major sulks when we didn't sign a back up striker. Now he's got one, the bloke's almost as invisible as Rose.
The results are worse than under Poch, as is the football. What has he improved?

I wouldn’t say it’s worse, I’d say it’s similar but because a lot of “sentimental Spurs fans” loved Poch, many could overlook it under him for a while whereas (rightly or wrongly) they can’t under Jose. We’ve been watching utter gash football since the start of 2019, so 2 years now, and only a CL semi final papered over a huge amount of cracks.
Jose - again, rightly or wrongly - is probably copping a lot of built up flack because Spurs fans are just fed up. It was **** under Poch and it’s still **** under Jose.
I personally don’t want to speculate on a different manager because I’m not “Jose out” but I also can’t lie that my patience is beginning to thin now. He needs to sort this **** out and quit with the ridiculously negative tactics and selection.
I believe that with all the above at his disposal, Dyche would
easily have got a 0-0 result today.
It's worse for me because I genuinely believed that when we spent some money, we'd improve. We've brought in Ndombele, Lo Celso, Bergwijn, Bale, Hojbjerg, Vinicius, Reguillon and a fair number of others. These are good players to add to some very good players already at the club.
Hassenhuttl's Southampton have the same points as us. We're three behind Everton and Leicester and likely to be behind Villa pretty soon. Clubs that play better football than us, with lesser squads are outperforming us. That's worse.
Yes but looking at some of those players we can’t solely put the blame on Jose for some poor stuff, even if his tactics aren’t helping.
Lo Celso has been an absolute ****ing waste, great player, made of glass. I’d have zero qualms if we sold him tomorrow because I think we have another Lamela on our hands.
Ndombele, 18 months in, still can’t last longer than 60 mins. I love watching this guy play football but it’s pathetic how bad his fitness is.
Bale should’ve probably had more chances - and why not bring him on today? - but we can’t sit here and say his poor form is down to Jose.
Bergwijn’s form has fallen off a cliff. I don’t think he’d be able to score if he had three goals in front of him at the moment.
Vinicius, yes, 100% on Jose. I can’t understand why he’s not playing more.
As for the table, we’re only 3 points behind the team with the 2020 manager of the season whilst we’re 4 points in front of a guy who’s just spent £230m so whilst Hassenhuttl’s Saints have been doing well, the table is a bit of a weird one as everyone seems to be dropping points. I like what he’s doing there but for me at least, it’s too early to start thinking he’d be better than Jose for Spurs right now. Maybe a month or two of more dross like this and the question can reopened.
He won't be sacked now...but it's coming in my view. Mourinho's history indicates that his path is set, just like when he was at United. He'll continue to play these tactics with lesser results until he's relieved of his duties.
Now, it's just about when, not if.
We’ll have to wait and see I guess. I get the impression Jose likes it here whereas he never really seemed happy at Utd which is why I think things turned really sour there but ultimately you need fans on your side and he’s losing more and more each week with the **** he’s serving up. I hate the predictability at the moment and one of the best managers in football history should not be predictable.
